I have NEVER worked in a Chinese Laundry, what makes everyone think I'd make a Great Press Secretary?

Many years ago, I went to a New years eve party. The host , who was normally a teetotaller (read "amateur drunk" had a few and decided to call the Kremlin and give Kruschev a piece of his mind and a few lessons on manners and diplomacy. After about 15 minutes, the operator finally got through to the Kremlin. As soon as he began describing Nikita's canine genology, they switched him to a time and temperature recording, supposedly only for a few seconds while they located the Chief. After about 30 minutes listening to the time in moscow, he hung up. When his phone bill arrived, he turned white as a ghost and swore off drinking forever.
