...Now I'm waiting for payment. Granted, it was only for a $4.99 MLB patch...but I'm eager to see if we can complete the transaction, leave feedback..etc...

It was item that did NOT sell on eBay...

Actually, if it's your first sale, it's good that it's only $4.95. You can use this as a learning experience while you're getting your feet wet over there and not get burned too bad if anything goes wrong. Once the bugs get shaked out there, it may prove to be a great alternative to Ebay for certain items. I look for them to evolve into a niche market for awhile until they gather a little strength and start to get really serious about confronting Ebay. It's definitely a place to keep an eye on. Keep us updated on how the transaction goes.

I have made four sales on Overstock with no problems at all. I'm very pleased with how things are going, for now the site is very responsive to sellers. One of my items had a real bidding war going and ended way over my expectations. I am getting anywhere up to 100 hits, which means people are looking in numbers. I even have 12 feedback already, how 'bout that? I am still listing one or two things on eBay for now, just to see if the holiday season will ever take off.

Now a second item sold...It got two bids up to over $5.00...OK...

But I get an email from the winner of my first item sold telling me that he can't open a PayPal account..so....what can he do?

*SIGH*

OK, so tell him send a money order..

Oops....

I just checked my last auction, an item that I put up just a lark...An old model kit that I had around...listed it for $2.99...It's gotten 9 bids, up over $5!! Wow!

Maybe this IS something...??

I'm still waiting for OS to end an auction for me that's damaged. It has a bid and ends in 1 day. I emailed them twice and one email tells me they'll get back to me in a day or two. Hmmm, beginning to sound a lot like eBay.

What are they waiting for, the auction to end so I can be charged that final val fee for an item I can no longer sell?

I think I'll stick with eBay for now.
