Notice on my Oct. invoice, ebay billing failed to give me credit for an item I relisted less than 2 wks after the first auction closed. ( I used the relist link and changed nothing. ) They charged me for insertion fee FVF etc etc. Has anyone else had this problem or does ebay just hate me?

You didn't state if this item sold or not?

When you listed the original listing, was it a fresh listing or was it from you unsold or sold list, listed for the first time?
I found a glitch some time ago with ebay being if you list a new auction from your unsold or sold list, that it will not qualify for a relist refund.

The first time I listed it was an entirely new listing - I never before listed it on e-bay nor do I have a store. I am aware of all the rules and regulations of what qualifies for a credit and what does not or would not have even mentioned it. That is why I questioned the lack of a credit and wondered if anyone else had this problem.

PS what do you mean by sold or unsold list? If the item did not sell the first time, it is unsold and so would qualify for 1 relist which should result in a credit if it sold this time around.

This has been brought up in the services forum before. Vendio blames Ebay, and Ebay blames Vendio. Apparently, there's a glitch at Ebay that will occasionally view a relist from a third party site as an original listing. You have to file for the credit from Ebay. If this was originally listed directly on Ebay, and then relisted directly on Ebay, they either have a glitch, or Meg's getting ready to go Christmas shopping and she's going to stick you with the tab.

This was listed both times directly on ebay. I no longer have any account with Vendio. So I guess I contact their customer service ( it is the principle rather than the minscule amount of money involved) and wait for how long it takes to get a canned answer if I ever do. I just wondered if this was a common glitch or if I am unique.

I only list from ebay as well. I will try to explain this way.
New post. No sale.
Relist the no sale. If it sells, it will qualify for refund only if relisted at or below original listing price. If it does not sell, then goes back to your unsold list.
Relist again. (Technically a new listing) Will not qualify for refund. No sale.
Relist the no sale. Does not qualify because you listed the original from and old auction. This is the glitch. It should qualify, but don't.
If your item does not sell the second time around, then you need to start fresh so you will qualify for the relist refund in the case of a no sale the third time.
I hope that explains better.

Ok so if my item sold the 2nd time around snd I changed nothing but just hit the relist button ( beginning bid price the same) does that mean there is a glitch in ebay's billing?
