Very 60's-ish ceramic tray measures: 14" x 8.5" x 2.5" and marked "Marcia of California" and "M-8"

Ralphie says it's a Bonzai Tray, but it looks too shallow to me...HELP PLEASE:

THANK YOU!

could it be for sushi? Or a presentation dish for some type of food. If it had been used for bonsai, there might be a dirt line residue at the side.

Shallow planter, popular in the late 50's early 60's.

max is right and it probably has candle sticks to go with it. Very popular and probably used on a Buffet....
