Yes, yet another spoof. Does anyone else get the feeling that everyone is out to cheat you these days! I get tired of the phone calls offering great prizes etc. and all the eBay and Paypal spoofs.

Amber - Easiest thing to do is go to ebay directly (not using the link) and try to sign in to your account. If you truly have been suspended you get a terse little note and a link to the form your email referrenced on getting reinstated. Also, a real suspension letter will be immediately followed by an email listing all of your auctions that were canceled.
My account got suspended a little while ago because I left an N out of "channel" and Chanel got rather pissy. Took nearly two weeks to get reinstated. In the mean time I got the "impending indefinately suspension" email at least three times. Had to giggle at that one.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

GT - There were two auctions that was done in. They canceled them the week before and I thought all was said and done and the next week they suspended the account. When I talked to the Powerseller Support on the matter they looked and said the other offense was some miscatagorized auctions. The guy was actually a huge jerk. "Well look at the these repeat offenses" Hey brainchild - look at the date of them....they were all on the same day and we are talking about such horrendous crimes as putting a necklace in a ring catagory. I had put together a few dozen new listings and forgot to change catagories. They sent me an email saying that the items had been relocated to new catagories, I went in and made the fix on the templates and went happily on my way until I got suspended for a typo. As aggravating as it was, it was also kinda funny.

Now that is stupid. I do that all the time. When I get a new breed of dog, I just copy another one and change the name, category and pictures. Sometimes I forget about the category and find out weeks later, I have a pug in the labs. Didn't know I could get in trouble for it. I just thought I had caused myself to miss some sales.
Be kind. Everyone is fighting their own secret battles.

The Infamous Monty Python Spam Skit:
Man: You sit here, dear.
Wife: All right.
Man: Morning!
Waitress: Morning!
Man: Well, what've you got?
Waitress: Well, there's egg and bacon; egg sausage and bacon; egg and spam; egg bacon and spam; egg bacon sausage and spam; spam bacon sausage and spam; spam egg spam spam bacon and spam; spam sausage spam spam bacon spam tomato and spam;
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam...
Waitress: ...spam spam spam egg and spam; spam spam spam spam spam spam baked beans spam spam spam...

Waitress: ...or Lobster Thermidor a Crevette with a mornay sauce served in a Provencale manner with shallots and aubergines garnished with truffle pate, brandy and with a fried egg on top and spam.
Wife: Have you got anything without spam?
Waitress: Well, there's spam egg sausage and spam, that's not got much spam in it.
Wife: I don't want ANY spam!
Man: Why can't she have egg bacon spam and sausage?
Wife: THAT'S got spam in it!
Man: Hasn't got as much spam in it as spam egg sausage and spam, has it?
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam... (Crescendo through next few lines...)
Wife: Could you do the egg bacon spam and sausage without the spam then?
Waitress: Urgghh!
Wife: What do you mean 'Urgghh'? I don't like spam!
Vikings: Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up!
Vikings: Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up! (Vikings stop) Bloody Vikings! You can't have egg bacon spam and sausage without the spam.
Wife: I don't like spam!
Man: Sshh, dear, don't cause a fuss. I'll have your spam. I love it. I'm having spam spam spam spam spam spam spam beaked beans spam spam spam and spam!
Vikings: Spam spam spam spam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam!
Waitress: Shut up!! Baked beans are off.
Man: Well could I have her spam instead of the baked beans then?
Waitress: You mean spam spam spam spam spam spam... (but it is too late and the Vikings drown her words)
Vikings: (Singing elaborately...) Spam spam spam spam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam! Spam spa-a-a-a-a-am spam spa-a-a-a-a-am spam. Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Spam spam spam spam!

jackswebb...that's fine. I guess these criminals are getting smarter all the time. It means that we have to get smarter too, and this board is one of the best ways to do it. I am so thankful to have somewhere to contact quickly for a response.
