I wonder how many registered users are on eBay, plus XX million of items & XX million bidders. No matter how you slice the bread, eBay is still #1 & getting bigger.

I guess you have to start somewhere, but someplace with 104 registered users is the same as zero in my book. I was an early user of ebay (8 years this March) but I did not jump in when they first started either as it was not worth changing my auction strategy at the time to incorporate them. I guess I don't have the time to help a site build its base, I would rather sell at places that have customers, and if a business can give ebay a run for their money, I will certainly start using them.

I think giving other sites a chance is a good ideal.
For example, I opened a second store at Ioffer to put stuff that I would take less for. Then with this image thing came up (I'm a hog, at the top level of images), I really started loading it up at ioffer and pointing people to it and from it to vendio store.
Now, I am getting about 5-8 sales a week over there. And, no cost for hosting or images.
I also, thanks to neglus, have an ebay store now. I am surprised at the level of sales there. I tried when they first came out and was very disappointed, not now.
Again, I try to promote all three. All three are a little different. It has worked well.

I checked it out and it says posting up to 4 items a month and unlimited bidding is free. It takes an upgrade to post more. I certainly list more than 4 items a month and I did not understand just how much more it would be to list more.

There is NO upgrade required and you can certainly list as many items as you like! I have over 40 listen now..
The minimal 2% final value fees are waived for the next six months.
I've been on ebay for the last 6 years and I know the routine, 5-1/4% final value and all the other charges cost me over $2000 a month.. Plus! try mentioning your website on ebay and see what happens! On WWW.bidt-it.com it's encouraged! Sometimes, big is simply NOT always better...

Did I read this wrong? Here is a copy of what I saw on the terms and conditions. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Article 5. Charges: Posting up to 4 items per month and unlimited bidding is free at "Bid-It.com". You may agree to upgrade your membership. Those unsatisfied with their upgrades may always request a refund of their unused time. It is not our policy to give refunds of time already spent.
