Hi; I just learned from a potential buyer this morning that my photos weren't showing up. When I check this board I read that Vendio had problems and many peoples auctions were affected. Their announcement page says everything is resolved. But none of my auctions seem to have the bottom part where the buyer clicks to bid, and none of my listings have photos other than the gallery ones. Could someone take a look and see if possibly its my computer and the pictures are actually there? Here is one of my auction #'s 3767605999. I appreciate any help you can give, thanks, Deb

Just small picture at top of listing. No others.

Nope, not just you. I received complaints today from potential customers that my photos are not showing up.
Also, when I go onto my auction manager in Vendio, pages are loading very, very slowly just like yesterday and the day before.

I just checked my auctions and my photos are showing up but that is right now, who knows in 10 minutes!
I sure hope they get this problem fixed very quickly because I had so many auctions end in the last 2 days without bids or with one bid, now I know why

silvergirl, I just checked that auction of yours too and only the top picture is there.
Doesn't appear that you have any other photos because there'd be an empty box with an X in it.

Oh !!*XX*! I've just tried to 'attach to existing auction' the original photos that are stored in Image Host. While Vendio says that the 'item is successfully' added, nothing additional shows up. How frustrating! I also see that none of the counters are working in my Sales manager--I show a whopping 25 items that are ending Friday with 0 hits (although I have bids on three items). Gina, sorry your auctions ended as poorly as they did, and I have a bad feeling mine will do the same--people don't want to buy what they can't see. What is the most annoying thing to me is Vendio is stating the problems are resolved--well, not for us they aren't! Couldn't happen at a worse time of year for a seller.

All you'll hear from Vendio is "sorry for the inconvenience".

I loved that yesterday I received my bill just before I received an email from them regarding the problems they are having.

Their timing is terrible.

I'm not looking to see if I have a bill. I'm already fuming over this "intermittent" problem and I'm not in the mood to go off on a tirade. LOL.

ummm.....that's really weird! I'm only getting a half a page on your auction. I don't even see a box to bid or anything!

something is seriously screwed up! did you edit your html or anything?

I appreciate everyones comments, thank you. Glassgrl, no, I actually hadn't listed for about a month, then put these 25 up on Sunday for a little more 'Christmas cash'. I have changed nothing on Vendio for ages! It is really odd that the end of the page didn't show up--its the same way on every auction. I don't think this is going to magically clear up by itself, although that wish is really is what I'll Santa for!

glassgrl,
The partial page stuff is due to packet loss. If someone isn't careful ebay may end up in the same boat Vendio is in. It took me 4 tries to revise an auction just now because of partial page loads.

Hi all,

Okay, I'm pretty darn illiterate when it comes to stuff like this but I used View Source and saw this entry in the three auctions I looked at:

<br><a name=ShippingPayment></a><b>Payment</b><br>

Seems like there should be a > right after the first a. Maybe Glassgrl or another of our html experts could take a look?? Of course I could be all wet (as usual) but just thought this might have something to do with it.

If this is correct there may be other lines of html missing a character.

Hope this helps.

Lucy

weird vintage4u - my name is Beth too! only I hate it so I changed it to Laura Beth.

Out of Laura Elizabeth they managed to get "Beth" out of there. So every year in school when they called out our names on the first day and they said Laura XXXX, I had to say "they call me Beth".

I tried to change it to Laura when I was working in the "real world" but then another Laura started working.

So ya'll can just call me LB. You have to be a real close friend to call me LB

Back to the problem....

silver, you need to go post over in the VD community section and start screaming over there (type all in caps).

The < is ok. we all have that too.

UGH!

Losing packets on an upstream load is not a good thing. I really hope this is not a sign of another problem. I could see how scrambled code could cause a cascading failure. I'm sure everyone has seen the results of dropping an HTML tag here or there and the bizarre results.

I remember on one of the Ebay boards someone (me) forgot a tag and all the subsequent posts were glowing blue and oozing. Now consider that some code is active and what can happen when it gets scrambled.

Double UGH.....

You folks have been great--thanks so much for the time you've spent trying to help me--it's a heck of a lot more than Vendio has done! Glassgrl, what is the VD community? I'll be happy to holler there and MAYBE I can get my auctions fixed before they end tomorrow. Again, thank you all for your great help, Deb
