I use Adobe PhotoShop Elements. It's not a shareware program... but it's worth every penny. (you can buy it $99.00 retail... or less, in some places) I love it because it allows me to batch process images. If you use the "Create Web Photo Gallery" feature it will allow you to resize and watermark your images as a batch all in one process. It also strips the EXIF data from JPEG files... which is extremely important because if the EXIF data isn't removed it can crash certain versions of Windows Operating systems when viewed on certain versions of Internet Explorer. I was able to resize, rotate, rename and watermark 200 pictures last night with only about 2 minutes worth of my time (it took the computer about another 20 minutes to process everything... but I was free to take more pictures!) If used properly, Elements can be a HUGE time saver!

I have 2.o and it's a click away to make a watermark. Freakin' brilliant!
Big fat watermarks that some schuck-a-delic will post that can be removed.
Oh well.

Yes, version 2.0 will watermark without any problems. (in fact, that's the version I use). Here's a link to a thread where I go in detail describing the process

well, i have a problem. I've downloaded the test version of Elements 3.0, supposedly its the full version and I can test-use it for 30 days.
When I do a batch process for watermarks, I get a message stating that it could not finish; see the error in the log file. that message states that it could not finish the batch process because it did not recognize the file format..... it's a .JPG file!
