Maybe eBay will also have a FLD sometime soon.

Greetings,

Overstock.com Auctions will be running a Free Listing Day on December 15th. Below is the copy that will be listed in the Overstock.com Auctions FAQ page:

"Overstock.com Auctions' Free Listing Day begins at 12:01 am EST on 12/15/2004 and lasts until 11:59 pm PST 12/15/2004. The ability to list items for free applies to the insertion fees only. Sellers will remain responsible for reserve fees, any upgrade fees and closing fees associated with all auctions listed during the free listing period. The insertion fee for listing an item in a second category is free, but all other fees are doubled when listing in a second category (Overstock.com Auctions reserves the right to modify or remove auctions that are listed in unrelated categories). Free Listing Day does not apply to Real Estate Auctions."

This copy will be reflected on the following page beginning on the morning of December 13th: http://auctions.overstock.com/cgi-bin/auctions.cgi?PAGE=FAQ&MODE=ANSW&FQCID=3&FAQID=83

Note: Please make note the Time Zone differentiation. We run the promotion this way to give everyone in the U.S. a 24 hour window.

Happy Holidays!

And there's a very good chance that while your stuff is tied up at Overstock, eBay will have their FLD.

I expect Yahoo will do the same thing any day now. They want to get the merchandise locked up so it won't get listed on eBay.

You can't be that stupid.

Even if both have a FLD within hours of each other won't be a factor. I would simply list at both sites (or all three) and if it sells, cancel the auction on the site it don't sell. Or in the case that ebay was the non-selling site, change the auction to something else.

"I would simply list at both sites (or all three)"

And so would I. I can't remember a time when I didn't have my entire inventory listed in four to six places at once.

But there are plenty of sellers out there that would never dream of such a thing. I frequent the boards over at Amazon, and it never ceases to amaze me how many people are just TERRIFIED of accidently selling the same item twice.

If it wasn't for Overstock's FLD, eBay problably wouldn't be having a 50% off Listing Day.
