Had an auction won 2 weeks ago. Got a message through eBay asking for postage. I sent it, no reply. Sent it twice more. Nothing. So today I filed a UID. Just got a payment from Paypal with the following comment.
"I asked OVER & OVER for the amount of postage- YOU DID NOT RESPOND- THEN WHEN I DID NOT PAY FOR ITEM- DUE TO LACK OF POSTAGE AMOUNT- YOU THREATEN ME WITH SUPENSION FROM EBAY- I PAY YOU - YOU WILL SEND IT TO ME FOR FREE- YOU GET NO POSTAGE."
When I sent a reply, the email address came back "suspended". I have returned the payment, there is no way I am going to send it without postage, it's only $4, but why should I?

No way are you obligated to send it for free. You might get a neg out of it but you can sure send him or her one too! You did the right thing by refunding.

These people can be so frustrating!!!

I just had someone who purchased an item and payment was due no later than December 8th. I had sent no less than 3 emails with reminders and even a PayPal Request $ request. She finally sent me a "Buyer Has Requested Shipping" even though I'd sent it to her at least 3x. Then I got sick of playing around and did a UPI on her. She just wrote back (through the eBay dispute form) that her daughter has been very sick and she is sorry and will send the money.

Had another one write to me the morning after the auction ended saying that she had an unexpected expense come up and she couldn't pay and to please offer it to the next highest bidder. I wrote her a rather scolding email but I did agree to offer to the other bidder. There was no bid from other bidder after 5 days, so I wrote another letter to her and told her that I noticed she had bid on three other BIN items three days after my auction ended that equaled the $50 total she still owed me.

I had payment that night via PayPal.

But these people really burn my azz.

Amber

Turn her for having an invalid e-mail address. eBay will give her a call.

Gtootie: I reported her to eBay this afternoon, and I just got a phone call from her. She started by saying ""Lady, I am so mad with you" I told her I was not too happy with her either. I finally got her to calm down, and check on her address at Paypal, and sure enough, although she had put on her new one, she had left the old one on also as the primary, so she was not getting any of my messages. Anyway, I think she is all sorted out, and is going to send the correct amount.
Another bullet dodged!!!

classic, you sent her an IUD? Did you know that was a woman's contraceptive device? No wonder you got a nasty email back. I can only imagine how she felt about it.

I purchased some items from a seller the last weekend in October and the first weekend in November. I spent two weeks sending email asking for an invoice or PayPal userid...Finally I got the userid and paid. She said that she had been very ill. Well, she has been extremely ill for some time. Another time she had "short term memory loss". Another time her son was dying. Another time she was struggling to make ends meet. I still don't have my stuff. About $150 worth of stuff I haven't seen yet. She keeps sending me emails saying she is throwing extra stuff in the envelope and that she really has been ill and so on and so forth. Twice I sent her a list of the seven auctions I won. At one point she said, "Good thing you've received items from me before so you know I really do deliver." I emailed her back and said "I haven't received a thing yet!" Sheesh! Ok, if all these things are true, she has had a pretty crappy few months or year(s). But she is still posting things just fine on EBay. I'm jealously looking at the comments from people in her feedback that say "fast shipping" and so on.

Today I was told my envelope was ready, she just needed my address. I sent it to her with an FYI: you can get it from EBay or PayPal. Sigh. Will I ever see this stuff? Who wants to bet that there will be missing items?

I don't mess around with people whose email addresses are wrong anymore. They get immediately reported to eBay or PayPal. I don't have the time or patience for them anymore. Three bidders I had got NARU'd because of wrong email addresses. I used to call them. No more. I'm not wasting my money on a long distance phone call anymore. I've done it far too many times.
