Sold an item today for 150.00 GBP. Even though the price seems high, they got an excellent price. Winner is pretty new and from the US. It took about three emails but we finally got thru the payment process and I thought all was said and done when I get a panicked email. Apparently our little newbie thought he was bidding in USD not GBP and is now a bit paniced since it turns out that they actually paid about $275.

Now I remember why I quit selling two weeks before Christmas last year. This one is going to be a pain.

why are they bidding in British Sterling Pounds? Did he get this from the United Kingdom Ebay? If that was the case, he/she should know there Sterling Pounds and not USD.

Fenix-did you know they have a dvd recorder that can record dual layers?-came upon this by accident a couple of weeks ago.I think the recorder is by Sony, so its + job. Also I think its one you put in the computer -but maybe the stand-alones wont be far off

Classic - I have no idea how they came upon the auction but apparently they thought they were getting a "way below wholesale" steal and are now furious, indignant and in the last email, down right freaking rude. This one is quickly turning ugly. Apparently I somehow managed to break into the ebay system to change the pricing and then incorporated PayPal into my evil scheme in order to decieve them into paying more money than they intended or approved.

If Santa hears about this I'm definately not getting that iPod I requested this year.

I have heard about the double layering but I won't be jumping on that train anytime soon. My current shopping list has the iPod, a new Apple Laptop and the Cannon Digital SLR on it right now. That's about $6000 once you add in the extras so I'm not adding anything new to the list for a couple months. Besides, I never jump on new technology until at least the second generation. I leave the first generation glitch related headaches to those with more patience than me.

Im in the middle of transfering everything over to dvd from vhs.Being the fact that the blanks under this new system are 8.2 at 4hrs on one disc in the SP mode,I wouldnt mind having one now.Im in the middle of transferring alot of vhs stuff to dvd.I would have hate to wait a long time to get one of these and have to start all over again.
Sounds like you have an expensive Christmas list-hope your sales were good LOL. Speaking of
Ipods-is there anyway I can transfer music form cd's onto these freakin things?? I'd like to get one,but I DONT want to transfer music from the internet.Or is there an mp3 device that you can transfer from cd's?

I am trying to keep my DVDs down to 160 minutes or less. Any more than that and my brain goes numb anyway. I still have about 150 tapes to transfer but I picked up 200 blank DVDs the day after thanksgiving for $40 so I just need to find the time. With all of this traveling back and forth I haven't been able to get any done for a couple months.

My Christmas list will probably require an extension into February to complete but that's still not too shabby. Sales have been really good and I could have done it now but decided to order more inventory instead.

You should be able to create MP3s from your CDs if you have..... um.... "aquired" the right software Don't ask what that software is... I have a friend with a studio so I just drop off my CDs and he does the rest for me. If you need a referral I'll ask him next time I am over there.

Classic, you can transfer your cd collection directly onto an iPod, using iTunes, the program that it works with. Win-Doze or Mac, either one.

You can convert your music into MP3's or from MP3's to music with audiocatalyst as well.
