Remember the juice/lemonade dispensers that sat on diner and restaurant counters? Big plexiglass bowl on top and the juice would spray up on the top and fall back down the sides of the bowl, a dispensing spout below. I came into one today, very nearly mint and never used in a restaurant. Original box, but no manual. I have it put together and it works very well, but the cooling element doesn't cool. I suspect freon charge is necessary as it was last used 10 years ago, but I don't want to go undoing screws without a manual. The original owner has died, but his son says it's at least 35 years old. I remember the brand from seeing them on counters, but can't find any information online. I'd love to have a manual for it. It is a Jet Spray Cooler, model JS-6, made by the Jet Spray Cooler company in Waltham, Mass.

Anyone have any pointers on where to do some research? I've googled the Co. and the brand name, and they don't seem to exist anymore. I also get zilch on an Ebay search, including completed items.
Thanks!

I've search engined it and the only thing I could come up with was a resume of someone who used to work there.

I remember this thing in my first job. Rinse with cool water when cleaning no soaps or you will have suds forever.

Also around the gasket we would put white vaseline that was from a restaurant supply.

Orange flavor makes the best milk shakes. Lemonade has to be cleaned more often because of the pulp is all I remember. Clean the fan area filter with soap and water. Good Luck thanks for the memory.

Prof - I still see those around all the time but now they have Horchata, Jamaica and Tamarindo.

that's what mine's going to be for fenix I finally found a diagram for a similar model and figured out how to install the bowl gasket. This weekend I'll charge up the freon and be set to go..I just looked up a similar modern model, eight hundred and fifty bucks, holy crap did I score!! Got mine for nothing, and it's only been out of the box twice, original packing slip says 1971!!

ROFL!!! You must have liked him - you are letting him off easy this time.

You definitly score though on your find. Sure you don't want to sell it and use just one of those huge three gallon glass jars for the daily supply of cinnamon goodness? SWMBO can do some serious damage to the iTunes library with the proceeds of that sale
