Will this be a new device for some buyers to cause trouble? Now not just holding a negative over our heads, but the potential hassle from these claims too?
Thoughts?

More of the "I hate those evil sellers" enhancements. The only good thing is that you will be able to communicate with the buyer on ebay. One more reason to look elsewhere. Not auctions anymore, more like stores run by ebay.

I was just on the receiving end of a seller who "packaged" 6 children's books in the bottom of a paper grocery sack, loosely taped. The sack arrived empty. Seller won't contact me. I've discussed this already with Ebay and they're "working" on it. We'll see.

You have got to be kidding! 6 books in a grocery sack?!?! Like I said, the one good point I could find is the ability to have ebay in on all that is said(or not said) about a situation like this. I can see where the idea came from for the process however I can see a lot of room for abuse.

Now you can see why there are more horses azzes than there are horses. I bought a really nice set of china from womam it MA. She wrapped the dinnerplates in 1 layewr of newspaper. Put them in a foam vegetable box with no packing. You know the rest of the story. About 75% were broken.

And to think, I hate to send anything in an envelope. Good Grief! To cheap to scrounge up a box or something. This is what makes it bad on those of use that really try.

Unbelievable! Let us know if you hear back from the seller.
