Wow .... every single one of their listings has a different url for the host site of the photos ... they've stolen nearly every single image they use! ....

Glad this one got caught ... that's funny!

Yeah, I noticed the same thing about almost all -- admittedly I didn't click on all of his auctions. I couldn't deal with that flipping Merlin poppin' up each time.

ANNOYING!

Can you revise an auction with less than 12 hours left?

Someone stole one of my pictures 2 weeks ago. They made almost $80 off of it. I have a crappy digital camera, I couldnt' figure out why he didn't steal someone else's picture.

Iv'e since started watermarking my photo's so if he does it again I can turn him in. My dad found the auction (his) after it was ended so it was too late.

You cant modify it with less than 12 Hours

You can only do that if the Stealer uses you Picture Hosting service as well

SO the stealer Stole the Picture AND web hosting

If the stealer takes you picture onto his hard drive and Crops with Photoshop you cant do that

LOL...After the seller forks out the money for the free overnight shipping and 500 pounds of coffee, I bet they never steal another picture again!

If that seller was bragging on the Powerseller Board then he should know that his pictures have been replaced?

That's horrible. The person who stole mine saved it to his own computer, he didn't link it to where I have my pictures hosted

Good grief. These poor buyers probably think that all of eBay sellers are like that. It's no wonder sales are slow. They can come to my peon $7 auctions and I'll be nice to them!

He buys occasionally too. I put him on my BBL on the off chance that someday he show up on my auctions doorstep. I'm not like this person so I guess it just shocks me to see feedback and stuff like his. It's so rude ~ how do you run a business being that rude?

dad - PS feedback is calculated a little differently than regular feedback; plus he's platinum, and I am sure eBay makes a tidy little sum off him each month...

How is the feedback calculated differently?

FWIW, I'm platinum, and I haven't noticed any slack sent my way

cash - Look at the feedback rating on your PS Portal page - it should be slightly higher than the feedback rating on your listings. I don't understand the formula used for it, but do know this is the rating eBay uses to determine PS status.

wgm, you might be right on that (though I'm not at 97.4 and trying to retain PS status like the other clown ).

Now, if I could figure out how to find my portal page Where did I put that thing? I need a Lo-Jack.

hi cashcloset ... if you click on your word 'powerseller', upper right corner of that page will show 'sign in' (to portal), then you see your stats ... at first, i didn't believe wgm about the feedback pct. being different, bUT they're right. ... on our regular listing/viewing pages, we are at 99.8%, but on the portal page we're at 99.9 ... ???? hmmmph.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!

This is from the PS FAQs...

How is the 98% positive feedback rating calculated?

The positive feedback rating for PowerSeller program eligibility is calculated differently than the site feedback rating visible on the Seller Information and Member Profile pages. The feedback percentage seen on the rest of the site is calculated based on feedback only from unique users. The PowerSeller feedback score is calculated based on total user feedback to better reflect the fact that many PowerSellers have satisfied, repeat buyers. eBay calculates the PowerSeller feedback percentage automatically by taking the total number of positive feedbacks and dividing them by the total number of feedbacks (both positive and negative).

... and THAT is how it should show on the site feedback rating too. ... sheesh. throw us a bone. lol

Speaking of satisfied, repeat customers:

We have one buyer who has won quite a few of our auctions; mostly auctions that aren't doing well; she's a bottom feeder. So, I get this email from someone saying, basically, take this item off eBay and sell it to me for $x. If you do so, I won't mail the email I've composed showing the history of bidder xxxxxx who seems to only bid on your items, if you catch my drift.

I told him that I don't respond favorably to extortion, and to go ahead and email eBay. I probably should have turned him in myself for attempting extortion, but got too busy. The guy obviously had a lot of time to investigate auctions!

By the way, he could have won the auction fairly for $x+$15, but not after I banned him

Found this on the PS board (explanation from ebay for why the PS FB% differs):

"...the powerseller team told me:

"the eBay PowerSeller program counts each positive
feedback comment, even multiple comments from the same member, when
calculating a PowerSeller's positive feedback rating. We feel this is
fair to PowerSellers, who generally have a large number of repeat
buyers."
