Unless you've been living under a rock the past two days, you've heard the weather reports. Everything north of Phoenix AZ (28 degrees!) has gotten dumped in snow.

Here in Ohio, I've got one to two foot natural drifts in some places and a four foot monster snow mountain at the end of the driveway where the snow plows plowed every square inch of snow on the road into my driveway.

I briefly got out yesterday morning while it was still only an inch deep to finish my Christmas shopping. I doubt I'll be getting out before someone picks me up for the big family Christmas-Eve thing.

Naturally, I don't have any wrapping paper. I was planning on using Mom's extra leftover rolls that I was going to pick up eventually. I guess everyone's gifts will be in Walmart & Meier bags this year

On the plus side, I'm getting tons of backlog entered into my auction manager in hopes of taking full advantage of an imprending FLD. I do have a couple of orders that aren't going anywhere till Monday. Most of my inventory and UPS sotfware aren't at my home, so no shipping is gonna happen. Oh well, they wouldn't have gotten them for Christmas anyway.

It's not supposed to get above freezing until Monday at the earliest. Looks like with the exception of Christmas Eve & Morning (and even these are being reconsidered by the family members hosting them) it'll be a LOOONG weekend.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING!

We have blizzards here in Ontario also, a couple of feet of snow in the last few hours, roads closed etc. Now there is freezing rain, and a sudden drop in temp. forecast. No-one is going anywhere. I spent most of the morning un-sheduling (is that a word) listings that I hoped would be listed if there was an FLD today. Had a nightmare last night that there was no FLD, and couldn't get onto Vendio to un-scedule them! I guess I am getting too engrossed in eBay!

We got it here, too. The snow's not so bad because I have 4-wheel drive. It's the ice that resulted from the rain we had early this morning that's making it tough. I'm the only one to make it into work despite a 3 ft snow drift at the end of my driveway. The Jeep treated it like it was nothing. While other cars were attempting to make it down the side streets, I was zipping right along!! Now, this is exactly why I own an SUV.

The temp outlook for this weekend is dismal! I'm going to hate to travel. The snow I don't mind. The sub-zero temps I do!!

It's not snowing where I live (yet) but we are having huge wind storms here. They are gusting at almost 70 MPH. I can see garbage cans and stuff blowing around outside of my apartment!

It is sunny and bright here in Minneapolis with only about an inch of snow on the ground. That's the good news....bad news is that the high today won't go above zero and windcbill is -20!!

We are having very strange weather up here in Alaska. It got up to 45 degrees yesterday and we got some Chinook wind action which is a "warm" wind...turning all the snow to a big chunk of ice....driving is very difficult.

The forcast shows the temperature is going to drop tonight to about 10 degrees and Friday we will dip down to zero degrees.

The good news is that we've past winter solstice and our days are getting longer again.

The dark is the hardest part of winter.

The third pic was taken from my front porch this morning before the down pour of rain froze everything. The second two are afterward:

On the way home from work, there were side streets blocked by cars sitting in the middle of them or cars sitting sideways in them. I should have taken a photo of the snow mound at the end of the drive before Ken shoveled it. The plow came by and put more in its place. It was back out to shovel again!

Only bitter cold in Wisconsin. This is supposed to be the coldest Christmas Eve in 108 years. No snow though.

I Like your neighborhood Cheryl, Reminds me of my hometown and the older homes and all that snow. What fun it was to go out at about 11pm and shovel. It was so bright outside because of the new fallen snow.

It is very bright outside with all the snow! I went to put my porch light on for company tonight then realized I didn't need to. We are going into the deep freeze tomorrow and I'm afraid what is slush will become ice. We go to my daughter's tomorrow night and fortunately she only lives about 10 houses away. Christmas we go to my mother's. She's much farther away. We won't make it out of the teens on Christmas. Next week it's supposed to be in the 40's. Crazy weather!

It has snowed only three times here so far, but all three times have been major events. It's very odd.

Hi all,

Well, it was warm and sunny here today. Clear blue sky, no clouds.

It's expected to cloud up the end of the week. We might even get a bit of rain. Temps expected to be lows in the 40s, highs in the upper 60s.

All you folks in the snow have my sympathies.

Lucy

That is just a normal day in paradise around here. We get the snow. We dig out. 12 hours later it is like nothing happened at all.

It's frigid here in NE Oklahoma. Temps in the 20's but feels like the teens. No snow but being this cold there needs to be some to justify the cold weather. How long till Spring?

We had a low of 30 and a high of 39 today. It may not sound bad at first, but we have very dense fog and the r/h is 100%, making it absolutely miserable. Hopefully it will break up by Christmas, then we'll ge a hard freeze in the 20's which will actually be an improvement. At least we'll get to see the sun.

Its going down to 0 degrees here tonight. E-Bay better have a free listing to help all of us pay our heating bill for this month. I'm lucky I live in a new apartment which is easy to heat.
