Okay I'm dumb.
My cousin gave me a scale to use to weigh my packages because my other one broke. This one is nice, not digital, but weighs up to 50 pounds.
I'm confused about the dial reading though because it says it weighs in 2 ounce increments. Between 0 pounds and 1 pound are 8 notches ~ so with the 0 and the 1, that is 10 so everything is exact?
I'm sorry if this sounds stupid (and I Feel stupid asking it) but I've never seen a scale that says it weighs in 2 ounce incrememts so I'm not sure what that means.
Anyone have an idea? I'd like to get a digital scale one of these days but this one is nice (and free) so I'm okay with it for now!

No, there are 8 SPACES between 0 and 16, right? The notches are the spaces. 0 to the first line (2 oz.) is 1 increment. There should be 8 increments. So if the scale shows the dial at the fourth line, your item weighs 8 oz. If it's between the third and fourth line, it weighs 7 oz.
