So far (still have to go to my mother's): all my packing supplies (YEA!), the patch to stop smoking (another YEA!), two mantel clocks, a heated foot massager and more. The best yet are the packing supplies. Will save me money!!!

Three really importants gifts:
My Christmas eve was spent with my closest friends and my little boy. One of my friends had her dear mom with her. Sweet lady from Japan. Lots of really interesting stories of how she survived the US bombings. ANYWAY, she was downsizing and moving into a new home. She gave me a porcelain doll from Japan. Late last night I tried to look it up on But - Bay. I FOUND one just like it

Mine is missing the ink pad that sits next to him and the black mirror thing that the one one ebay has but otherwise it's identical. He DOES have the removable sword thing that is under his arm. I will treasure it forever!
My little boy's present also means so much because he bought it himself and it is a really cute little jewelry box with rhinestones. Another treasure to keep forever.
A cordless electric drill. I really needed one for work.

My important gift is being able to spend it with my Daughter and her Husband and two beautiful grandchildren. Our gifts were only things that we needed. I received a gift certificate from Circuit City so I could buy a new modem for my computer. A new telephone with a caller ID to put next to my bed. Nothing extravagent as when you get older Christmas has much more meaning. For me it is not the getting but the giving.

The first season of Frasier on DVD to make me laugh.
Jan Karon's Mitford Cookbook and Kitchen Reader, a beautiful book to treasure.
A Christmas Eve surprise...a Christmas card from one of my EO friends to cheer me up.
My brother and his family will be here in a few minutes for another Christmas. He had a heart attack a couple of years ago and had bypass surgery. Don't know the word for 5. Really don't care, because he is coming for Christmas.
After being in the hospital 3 times this summer and being very ill, my Dad is here driving my Mom crazy. Retired men are good at that.

I didn't get anything myself (my family is on my s*&#! list right now) but through the kindness of others I have a very happy little girl today and that is the best gift I got.
If I had gotten anything I would have been thrilled with a gift card to Walmart or Sheetz (it's like 7-11) I'm very very easy to please

generalfunds ... Congratulations on your new little boy!!! ... babies are such incredible blessings and are just perfect little miracles, aren't they?
I got nice things from my kids, but not much from Santa, because I don't like to spend money on myself. ...
Here in Ohio, all of our kids and grandbaby were here last night for turkey dinner and exchanging gifts. ... Today we're packing our bags to drive to Jax FL tomorrow to party some more with my family this week ...
It will be good to get away from the boulders of ice and layers of ice.
I hope we can go caroling in our shorts.
Peace and joy,

My best gift? Being with our 4 kids and their spouses, and our 10 grandkids. 3 of them live in Arizona, and they were here in Canada for Christmas. It was hard to say goodbye to them as they leave for Arizona again tonight, and we won't see them for another 6 months.

My best gift is having my daughters home from college and actually ENJOY doing things with us! I also enjoy seeing how they love the Christmas traditions we have established over the years. I miss my mother and siblings far away in Oregon and North Carolina, but I like spending Christmas with our small little family here in Minnesota.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU!

My best gift was the look on my little girl's face when she walked into the living room and saw that Santa had come! It was truly a priceless moment -- she's almost 6.
My second best present is the pearl necklace that my boyfriend gave me. I love pearls and don't have much jewelry. I wore them all day!

I got officially engaged today. My fiance bought me a scroll saw and told me there was an "accessory" in there to go with it. I opened it up and found my engagement ring. I was in tears. After 4 1/2 years it's official.

Sparkz--Thank you. His family, my family, friends and co-workers were wondering if it would ever happen. We had Christmas at his sisters and his family was there. Tomorrow is Christmas at my mom and stepdad's so they can get the news. I'm still pinching myself to see if I am awake just to make sure I'm not dreaming.

Meowmix...I will be celebrating my silver anniversary in April, but I can still remember the night I gave my wife her engagement ring as if it were yesterday. (I sure as hell didn't give her a scroll saw, I kept that for myself). I wish you both the very best in the future and am so happy to hear you now have someone to take your packages to the post office and stand in line while you get down to the serious stuff like posting new auctions. Seriously, congratulations and best wishes to you both. What a perfect Christmas present!!

All the best to you and I hope maybe you might receive a New Year's gift!
