One of my auctions ended yesterday. I decided to email the winning bidder as I hadn't heard from her, and I wanted to tell her she could use PayPal. (I had forgotten to check off the PayPal option in the auction so I wanted to tell her this).

Anyways, at one point you could request a user's contact info. I was going to phone her or mail her a letter. But not it seems that you can only send a message to another member through eBay.

Even more odd, she's got positive feedback for a few auctions she won in Novemeber and December. Maybe she just changed email addresses then? At this time, my auction was the only one she was active in.

How can I contact her, or do I just hope she'll contact me somehow?

You can request her information at anytime, and they will give her your information also.

Then give her a call if you don't receive an email or if you don't get an ans. when you call then wait 10 days and file a NPB with ebay, and move on

I tried to request the user's info (phone number & email address) but it seems that option is gone. Now eBay gives you only one option (as long as you're involved in the transaction as I am): to send the user a message through eBay (which I did). But if the email bounces, it won't do much good.

Is there still a way to get a user's phone number and/or address?

She's got a decent feedback rating, under 100, but all positive. But if I can't contact her, I'll apply for my FVF next week. I'd rather sell the item though.

Never waste your money or time on phone calls as that is not your job.

What I would do is contact Ebay and let them know that you have a invalid email contact from the buyer and they will contact them one way or another.

Once they find out that they are naru due to a invalid contact info they will run like the wind to get this problem fixed. Then you can complete the sale.

I have had the same thing happen to me and I called Ebay and told them about the email address and they TOLD me they can not do anything about it, I also told them I thought they needed a working email address to reg. with Ebay, they said, at the time they reg. it must have been working, now its not up to us to do anything, just try calling them, that is what they told me, they were not interested in knowing that the email address kept bouncing. This just happened to me a few weeks ago.

I would just go after Ebay about it. Never give up to easy when it comes to feebay.

Sometimes I have to wonder about the lackluster help they hire.

If worse comes to worse then file on them as a deadbeat.

IF you want the MONEY, pull the phone number and call them up. I always do this and more than half the time they pay up.

So say you make $5 on the sale, a 60 second phone call can mean extra profit and a happy customer. You already paid the eBay listing fees, and the person seems to have interest in your product. Most folks are just glad I gave them a call.

Then again, I am doing eBay to make money. Not to be RIGHT about everything.

My 2¢

I wouldn't worry.

Chances are that the winning bidder will get the payment info from Auction Checkout, or contact you with their new email address.
