does anyone know any other service besides yahoo's finance that lets you do online funds transfer from one banking account to a different banking institution?
yahoo's online funds transfer is powered by cashedge.. and its free for the first $5,000 per month.. if u transfer more than that, it'll cost money.
I hardly transfer much from one bank to another (at least not over the 5,000 cap..), but its easy and saves me time from getting up.
but unfortunately in Jan 31. yahoo is stopping its online fund transfer service.. i guess offering it for free doesnt really benefit them? and not enough people are using the fee service I guess.
anyone know of any other larger trustworthy sites offering free online fund transfer? I suppose I can always just link my other accounts to paypal, and transfer money that way.. but er, no thanks.

all my bank accounts from my banks/credit unions have online banking.. they transfer from one account to another within the same bank, just not to different banks.
woops I just checked my bank of america online banking and they do have it.. transfering to another banking insitution. they didnt have that before.
my credit union's online banking doesnt have it though..
unfortunately the bank of america one has fees too though:
"Please note that there are dollar amount and other limits for these transactions. Transfers to your Bank of America accounts are free, and fees apply to transfers from your Bank of America account to another financial institution."

you want free lunch, which means someone has to subsidise you so you can have your free lunch!
lick a 37 cents stamp and mail the deposit, unless you dont even have or willing to spend 37 cents.

Isn't it ironic that as sellers we all feel that we should be paid for our time and efforts but somehow so many do not feel that anyone else should be paid for theirs.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

its just convenient, easy and fast. *shrug*
i dont see whats the big deal. yahoo has it for free (up to a certain amount), it transfer from one bank to another within 3 days electronically. sometimes faster (1-2 days)
if there's another service out there that can do it that I dont know about, why not take advantage of it? If not, no big deal. I'll direct deposit differently.
same reason why i pay my bills online, as I'm sure most of you do. or probably do. its not cuz those 37 cents add up that much (acutally they probably do, but if thats an issue then you've got bigger problems).. but cuz its fast and easy.
