Hello
I just signed up for vendio gallerys and basically I am new to auctions period , but my question is has anyone had to deal with vero, I've had some auctions cancelled due to copyrights..etc. I see they have a form to become an authorized internet dealer of certain products has anyone had any sucess getting approved.

I reported a couple of people in for copying my pictures. That automatically make you a member. They put my ME page on their list and everything. It's really not a big deal.

Gtootie ..were the pictures yours that you took personally...I copied pictures that you can find in about a million places on the net.. the posts were for dc sports header and aem cold air intake...don't get me wrong I would not copy anyones personal pictures that they have taken on their own.

These were my own pictures watermarked with my logo. The item was something that is sold everywhere. I scanned one for the picture. However, anyone else could scan their's and no one would be able to tell the difference except for the watermark.
VERO is not a way to become an authorized dealer. It is a way to protect the people who own the rights to pictures, phrases and name brands.
Even though "shabby chic" is a much used phrase to describe certain things, the person or company who owns the rights to that phrase will shut your auctions down in a heartbeat.
You can also use VERO if someone copies your description or uses your personalized templates. But they have to be enough alike that it is easy to tell that they copying yours. I use a Vendio template, but customized it with my pictures and logo. Someone else can use that template, but if they put my little dog on it and in the same places I have him, people may think it is one of my auctions. In that case I could have the auction shut down.

It is also my understanding that it doesn't have to be the owner that reports the violation. Someone on this board could see an auction that was copied from another member and report it. However, when you file the report you are signing an affidavit that this was copied, so the reporter should know for sure it was copied.
