http://my.ebay.com/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?

THEN THIS ONE CAME UP.
https://signin.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SignIn&favoritenav=&pp=&co_partnerId=2&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fmy.ebay.com%3A80%2Fws%

THE TOTAL ADDRESS IS NOT INCLUDED BUT THE FRONT PART IS I BELIEVE THAT IS THE IMPORTANT BIT TO TELL IF IT IS FRAUDLANT.

That TOP one is a fraud & also is NOT secure...

Both valid eBay pages, but top one is not a secure page.

Tomii , whAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?? trhey are both valid ebay addresses.

!st one takes your to your "My Ebay page and the second one just logs you in as a user.

as long as the address starts with // (anything).ebay.com/ you are safe.

if it is something like //myebay.biteme.com/, then you are in deep doodoo if you sign in.

Yer SIGN-IN page is SECURE, no?

At least I ALWAYS look for the "s"

https://signin.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SignIn&UsingSSL=1&pUserId

My "ME" page:

http://members.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=vidrat

Never noticed that MY EBAY was my.ebay.com
before...

Regardless, I always look for dat "S"

https is a secure site. Any page on ebay that requires your password will always begin with https. Normally, when you go to MY Ebay, your first example is what you will see. If your sign in cookie has expired, you will wind up with the second example, which is the sign in page. Also, you will sometimes be required to sign in to access My Ebay if you have previously been required to sign in for another page such as "View All Disputes" or "Revise An Auction".

I read about this site in last weeks newpaper.
You can check an address on it and it will
tell you if it is a Verified site or not.
I've used it on the addresses listed in 2 spoof emails I recieved this week (one for Visa and 1 for Ebay). Also tested on some
known sites and it worked. The site is http://trustwatch.com/
Of course you don't want to actually click on the link to the site, so just copy it from the email or address bar and then paste it into the form. (just encase there are 1 or 2 who dont know how to cut/paste, just Right click on the link you want to check, then click copy (or copy link location), then Left click on trust watch's check a link site, then click paste). Sorry, don't want to offend anyone w/the instructions, but from reading these boards I know there's always someone who needs a little help w/the details.
Hope everyone finds this site helpful.

Agate18...If you have the slightest suspicion anything is wrong, go here: http://www.trendmicro.com/free_tools/ and have your system scanned for trojans and viruses. Makes no difference if you have an AV program installed, sometimes the doctor that renders a second opinion spots something the first missed. It's an excellent program that will help you sleep better, and you can't beat the price, which is FREE.

thanks sparkz, I am running the scan now and so far it has found one non cleanable virus JS_NOCLOSE.EA. When it is done it will probably give me an option to delete it.
