Go to MY e bay. Left side of the page. My account, under that preferences. Click it open. REALLY eyeball what is set and NOT and so forth. You may just be surprised. I never noticed the KEEP ME SIGNED IN.....before. I have not done that much work since clicking it on but I have a feeling this is the frustration for MANY who keep saying they have to CONSTANTLY sign in. Maybe this is the setting that will END that nonsense. Be sure to REALLY look and READ what that stuff says. For me also he pictures thing. If you can't do this then do that. The top one is the BETTER choice. The second one has been marked on my pictures thing. silly. Good luck.

And Also, i am sure many like myself have multiple accounts,,,,you need to look at EVERYONE of them.

I just went in and checked. They have my preferences set exactly the way I originally chose them: Blonds, brunettes, redheads, Budweiser, Jack Daniels, Marlboros, Porterhouse steaks, swap meets and yard sales.

Jack,
I think I have it half way figured out. The sign in cookies they drop on your computer expire after 12 hours and you are prompted to sign in again. Also, there are some areas on the site that require you to sign in again, even if you are already signed in. This includes any page where you can view confidential info, such as your account balance, etc. as well as the dispute page and the revise an auction page.

My preferences specify Two Buck Chuck...

Thanks for the post, Jack. Always a good idea to check what eBay's been up to.

Thanks for this, Jack. I found a couple of things I needed to change--and some things I never opted for; Ebay gremlins must just add things for us that they *think* we need - or *they* need.

It's a good idea to periodically check your preferences at Vendio also. I think some of those gremlins that Roadsmith alludes to have sneaked into Vendio's servers. Especially after a new feature has been added or a scheduled maintenance has been completed. Pay particular attention to the watermark feature. A mysterious checkmark in that box can suck up your loose change in a hurry.
