Twice now, after writing an auction, I clicked on "Quick Preview" only to find my description diappears! The first time it happened, I thought maybe I'd screwed up but, when it happened a second time, figured it wasn't me. Anyone have this happen to the and any idea what's going on? I HATE it when 10 minutes of cleverly-worded descriptive prose vanishes into the ether!

Does it disappear when you hit the 'back' button or when you click on 'quick preview'? I know I still goof up and try to go 'back' from the upper left of the screen when I meant to click the 'return' button on the bottom left of the screen.

Pmelcher has your answer for you, I'll bet. I've been caught by that in the past. At the bottom of the quick preview page, you can click on "return."

I THOUGHT I'd clicked the "quick preview"...the written description was the only thing to go...photos, shipping info/prices...all the rest...stayed. I'll just have to be more careful, I guess...Thanks!

Hi all,

Sometimes - not always but sometimes - if you use the back button on your browser you can get back to what you typed. It can take a few "backs" but it works quite a bit of the time.

Why not write your auctions and save them on your computer. Then all you need to do is copy and paste them. Then if it happens again, all you need to do is re-copy and paste. Only takes a few seconds instead of half the night.

stonecold613 is right. Always type your descriptions in a document and save them to hard disk. That way you also have them for future reference.

Also, if you screw up and erase a document you can hit control z and it should restore the document. That has saved me at least twice.
