I was brwosing the eBay technical board and came across a very valuable thread. I was getting sick and tired of searches taking forever on eBay. This is due to all the harvesting of your search terms for marketing analysis. In any case I implemented the suggestions in the linked thread and now when I do a search on eBay, the results are almost instant. Pay close attention to the 5th response in the thread by USERID HOTNUTS:

MARCN: I found and did hotnuts and rockboss2000's 'fixes' about a week ago, and instantly zooooooooooooooomed thru ebay ... BUT, it started slowing down again, and just yesterday, i undid their 'fix' just to see what would happen (AND so I could send ebay techs to work on the jerking scrollbar on FB Forum) ..........
as soon as I "undid" the fix, ebay was real fast .... but now, only 24 hours later, ebay is ultra dead-dog-slow again. (searching and 'typing'-catching-up-with-my-fingers-slowness) ........

I think that is what I did last week and it was great until I could not do completed item searches??
I may try it again and see if it's better next time.
