ok, since I've had the Dell and it had XP SP2 pre-installed I've gotten to like it.

So I formatted my laptop and installed it on there too.

I was wrong

So far it seems like all my software works and I don't know what it is about it but everything installs easier and since somebody else had my IP address I wanted the firewall feature in addition to everything else.

Is your last sentence about the computer or the laptop?

well...I'm scratching my head over that one.

I've had XP SP2 on the desktop for several days now and have installed all the software I normally use on it.

Roxio EZ CD Creator
Adobe 2.0 (what I wouldn't give for 3.0 but I'm working on finding it on the Web)
Office 2000

I haven't installed my Dazzle for Endicia yet on either.

Spybot
Spyware Blaster

And I'm fixing to try out Avast on the laptop instead of AVG.

Does that make sense?

"I was wrong"

Are you having a problem with something or just telling what you've done?

I might be able to help, but I don't quite get the point of your post...

She was wrong.

She thought XP SP2 would be a disaster.
But she's finding it works quit well!

Am I wrong?

I wanted to say I could tell them, but then I'd have to shoot them.

You are correct.
