I can't believe that EBAY with all of the success it has had in the past is now trying to hatch these convoluted schemes that benefit no one-What are they scared of- they have no legitimate competition- yet-but all of the dumb gimmicks they have come up with indicate a company that has lost it's sense of reality-and doen't know how to get it back-

Want to be more specific and explain what you believe are convoluted schemes?

I don't want to re-read the other posts, I asked a direct question to the poster what they felt was convoluted. I can't stand generalizations, if you want to go into a rant, at least be somewhat specific about it. What's to kid about that?

I didn't realize I was ranting- wow- didn't think I had that capability-But the absurdity of those EBAY airheads must have sent me over the top-If I could make head or tails out of their new desperate store promotion-I would not have come to the conclusion that they are running scared-The shortest distance between 2 poinrs is still a straight line and EBAY is thinking in circles- Sorry if that offends you but I think that answers you in general-

No offense, just trying to understand what the complaint was. I don't think the FVF credit is a convoluted scheme, it has been in place for some time. As ReplayMedia stated, it is a way to generate further business for ebay, as theoretically you are bringing them business from the outside. I am actually glad to see this, because now I will be more motivated to get my customers to find me outside of ebay, and not search for me when they are already on ebay. There is a lot more at stake now. Looks like 12% of my January store sales generated a FVF credit, I believe with better promotion on my part, I can at least double that. If I can do that, it will be like a 6.5% FVF instead of an 8% FVF, that is a pretty big difference. I still prefer 5.25% though!

LOL, if you can bring in your customers outside of ebay, then why are you using an ebay store? You can save money by using another site.

Oh, I definitely plan on being less reliant on ebay. It's been pretty easy, to keep all of my inventory basically in one place. I do plan on working on reducing what I have at ebay, and using my own site based store more. Just have to find the time to develop it
