I purchased two of the same item from a seller. (She had the listing with 2 purchases available.) As I continued searching ebay, I saw the same listing again, but passed it by. Then I saw a similar type of listing, but it was with different items. I received this e-mail from the seller:
"I was just relisting and I see that this book I dont have any of, the auction should have been for the XXXX (the one that was similar as stated above). I will double check around here again but I know I don't have any more."
I think she realized that the books were worth more without a buy it now attached to it and decided to back out of the deal. What do you think? If you do think that she is a seller trying to back out of a deal, how would you proceed? I received the e-mail yesterday, but haven't responded just yet.

What can you do really? Give her a neg is really the only thing you can do, but you will get one back probably.

This is a problem that you don't have any control over, if she is saying she don't have it anymore then I can't see anything you can do but go along with what she is saying.
It might be for the reason you stated but you still can not do anything to make it different.
This has happened to me when I relisted multiple items, I changed the quanity but when the listing went up to auction the quanity number was back to the original number of items and I didn't know this till the auction closed. Now I had to explain that I only had 1 of those items and explain how the mistake happened. My buyer was very understanding, lets face it we all make mistakes so maybe her's was an honest mistake. But either way its out of your control.

Bizzy if it really sticks in your craw that this is the way its going down and your pretty sure about it -- if the other auction is still active, why not bid on it with a different ID, then email, btw could you send to: bizzycrocheting?
