I just got back from the grocery store and NO KIDDING in the truck next to me was Ralph looking out at me like we have all seen him on these pages .... He had a HELP! look on his little face. I said Oh my gosh it's Ralphie he has been dog napped! As I was getting out of my car an old man walked up threw his bag in the back of the pickup. ... and wizzed out of the parking lot. I didn't get the plate number... all I saw was HORROR OF HORRORS a W in 04 bumper sticker!
Tom tell me it ain't so!!!

This is not a joke or story

Yikes!

Gimme a heart attack, why doncha?!

Nah! Ole lard-butt is in the kitchen chewing on Mr Squeaky, getting ready to do some pottery & china hunting on FRIDAY!

He's been asked to sell a HUGE collection of JUNQUE de ARTE for a fellow geezer near here!

He had planned on going to and entering competition at Westminster, but, after I finished ROTFLMAOPIMP, I dis-abused him of his fantasies of grandeur!

I'd be really a total basket-case if he had been dog-napped, though...

we went to a yard sale a couple of weeks ago and parked right up next to a fenced yard with 3 BT's. They never barked, just sat there and quivered and shook. I asked them if they knew Ralphie and they shook some more.

I've never seen dogs that didn't bark like that.

Ralphie virtually never barks ~

He's content to snort, snore, grunt & faht...

Ralphie's a WHACK-O!

I bought him a really nice fleece-&-foam pad & he SLEPT ON THE BARE FLOOR

I finally gave it to a friend's dog...

This isn't about Ralphie (even though he is a cutie). This isn't even about dogs. This is a link a relative sent me and it is hilarious.

I don't know how to post the link exactly so if someone who knows what they're doing could do it for me that would be great.

Here it is:

Thanks in advance.

Tom, I really am grateful it wasn't Ralphie. My heart really did skip a beat... not only to be dog napped but by someone with W in his heart! well!!! If something happened to our Babe well you know. Boy 5 terrific dogs in the best of Westminster tonight what a hard decision! My heart was with the Blood Hound.... Again I'm glad Ralph is hanging out with his master and friend hanging on the cold hard floor!

I often see Ralphie out on his own. I think he waits til Tom isn't looking and starts his prowling - but he's fast and return before Tom is wise to him!!!!

BJ - I liked the bloodhound too but ..damn! That German just absolutely nailed the pose. She was picture perfect. It actually may be best for the Bloodhound breed that it didn't win. You know that high end idiots would go out get them just because the breed won and then discover that the breed tends to drool all over the high end furniture and dump them off on rescues. It's like all those people that thought that dalmations were adorable right up until they realized that the adorable spotted dog has more energy than a dozen five year olds.

I swear if that announcer referred to the Terrier once more time as a "single working mom" or talked about the "great story" of her "taking 6 months off to have pups" I was going to scream. Hey you brain dead twit... it's not like the dog said to herself "Hey, you know I think I'm starting to feel the ole clock tick, time to have some pups". She all know the truth... she woke up one morning and found that mom had pimped her out.

Washingtonebayer:

For an old geezer like me, living in an apartment, a BT is just about the IDEAL doggy!

I wanted an adaptable pooch that would also be good around kids -- Ralphie sure does meet those criteria!

BTs are jaunty, affectionate, funny, and, sometimes...STUBBORN!

He housetrained (with the VERY IMPORTANT use of crate-training) in ONE-DAY! He's never pooped in the house -- he did have 3 or 4 pp accidents on the kitchen floor (as a baby), but, they were all MY fault, not his!

BTs will be just about anything YOU want them to be -- very active or couch potato! They do NOT make good guard dogs -- they'd rather lick ya to death (LOL). As I say: "Ralphie's a LOVER not a FIGHTER"

Although short-haired, they DO shed. Also, because of their face being squashed by a Mack-truck, they are prone to breathing problems. They are thus VERY temperature sensitive are are INDOOR DOGS, only! They can die quickly if left outside during EXTREME temperatures!

Also, though funny, they SNORE like OLD MEN & make various piggy noises like GRUNTS & SNORTS, etc!

Known as The American Gentleman both for their tuxedo markings and their jaunty demeanors, Boston Terriers are a wonderful breed! Some call them the "Potato Chip Dog" cause ya can't have JUST ONE!

Good Morning, I must say that the best part about this thread for me is knowing how much all of us... not "knowing" each other care about each other. I for one am grateful! Fenix... ain't it the truth about the Blood Hounds. Most people would have buyers remorse trying to live with a hound. We have Bassets and they are droolers too. Wilber is affectionately known as Mr Drool Bucket... but he is so handsome! We just have learned to keep wet wipes around and lots of upholstry cleaner!

Stosh and Stan were sitting there one day.

They notice Stosh's dog, Ralf, licking
himself. (ya know... the way dogs do.)

Stan says to Stosh, "Boy I sure wish I could
do that!"

Stan said, "Well ... I suppose, there's a chance, but I think you better pet him first."

I'm a Basset fan too. My grandparents bred them for show and he was a judge. I loved going to their house as a kid, playing with the puppies and watching them tumble around tripping over their ears. And those big teddy bear paws..... too cute!

fenix- I used to raise German Shepherds and that was one beautiful animal. My heart usually lies with them. I was rooting for the bloodhound in this one. I never thought if it won, people that shouldn't have them would want them.

I think when the Dalmatian won the movie had just come out too. Parents without a clue bought them for their children. I hate to think how many went to the SPCA.
