I deal in high end unusual antique smalls and collectables and like many of you am looking for an ebay alternative. I'd like to hear from those of you who sell such items on vindio's store--what has been your experience. I have not tried Vindeo's gallery, but that seems workable.
How to improve the bottom line is what it is all about. I will no longer list in 2 categories, although I do have to use ebay's gallery. I will be dropping Square Trade and will look closely at the BIN.

Antiquesguy ... you have a long row to hoe ... you probably know "high-end" smalls and collectibles, unless truly rare one of a kind with provenance, are just not 'rare' since ebay is aging ...
We had a vendio store for a couple years, which yielded a few 'high end' sales (out of many listings, and many efforts to drive our ebay buyers to look at those listings), but finally switched those items over to an ebay Store format last fall ..... had a few high end sales on there that paid for our ebay store for awhile, but you know the ebay fvf's are goin' up to 8% any day now.
Google's "froogle" web connnection does pick up Vendio store listings, but the last bigger ticket item i sold in my vendio store, i asked them how they 'found' the item, and they said it was a Yahoo search engine, they had gone through a few pages of the search to find my item. ... I didn't think vendio stores were listed necessarily, in 'yahoo', (only google's Froogle) ...
Don't know what to tell you ... antiques are getting harder and harder to sell on the internet; especially the high-end ones ...
