I am a mom and try to list as much as possible, but I seem to go in spurts of GREAT weeks then nothing! I know ebay is just a fluke thing most of the time, but what is hot, how do I know what to sell? Is it better to list on any certain day/time of the month?

I've been selling my main item now since July. It's just NOW picking up to where it's keeping me busier than it had been but I'm still not making an excessive amount of money. I work constantly to make my line bigger, have more items available, etc. It's definitely been trial and error. I would say find something you know something about and go from there. I love what I do, what I sell...but I ain't gonna be no millionaire from it. So I'm working at expanding and offering more items, which takes time.

Hi "Mommy"...it's really hard to tell what to sell...can be so variable from week to week. Had an item on a couple of weeks ago that got no bids/few "lookers". This week, it sold for over $26.00. I've been selling for over 5 years now and have yet to figure out rhyme or reason...Guess the fun of it is there really ISN'T any logical system. Good luck!

What you make tons of money on one week, you may make nothing on the next. It's next to impossible to guess what the buyers want from day to day. My November and December sales stunk. In January, my sales soared and they've now leveled off. It's even difficult with jewelry and accessories. The suppliers are selling their spring line now, but the buyers aren't ready to buy them yet. Sigh. Guess it's just time to stock up.
