That's great Jack. Those boards can be a bear to pack so they don't go oversize. I'll keep Craigslist in mind just in case I run across something too big to ship at a reasonable price.

Ah, yes, that wacky craigslist.org

My recent LP record story.

I politely tell the guy below that I already sold them (for a nice, tidy profit) but he kept
bothering me endlessly. BTW, I got much more than this guy would ever pay me. I've
sold thousands of LPs on eBay (and elsewhere) and know about pricing records and getting the most
dollar I can get.

Anyway, here are his emails...

#1 email: "How Much?"

Me: Sold. Thank you.

#2 email: "Well how about getting another bid so you wont under sell.....I paid $5,000.00
for last collection of early Jazz.....Try me...."

Me: Like I said, I've already sold them. Thank you.

#3 email: "Most people in this area have no clue of how Important this stuff is...."

Me: I've already told you in the last 2 emails that I sold them.

#4 email: "We compile a list and record the stuff on CD for people to hear ......"

#5 email: "Ok ....If you ever get anymore of these records..let us know..we pay more then anyone...we just paid 500.00 for a Sun Record Label with Johnny Cash on it."

#6 email: "Why do you Ignore me???"

Me: I told you days ago that I SOLD them.

His final reply to me?

#7 email: "I wrote much more then just a request for the records..you are a rude nasty man...Thank god we didn't do business..I would have hated to give you any money."

BTW, this jerk was on eBay. . .

check this out...

"moonoracles is no longer a registered user"

That says it all.

Just sold a motorcycle on craiglist to a buyer located 300 miles away. (He's going to pick it up). I'd bet that I get more hits on craiglist than on the same item listed on ebay.

And when I'm looking to buy something, craigslist is the first place I look. You can find some good deals.

I think it's just a matter of time before ebay buys out the rest of craiglist and ends the free listings. The owner says he'll never sell out, but everyone has their price.

*I* think that *when* ebay takes full control over craigslist, which WILL entail listing fees NO DOUBT!!!! ....

and then, another 'craigslist'-type service will thank God, spout up on the internet, for FREE 'want ad' type of listings.

Thanks Jack!

When you had posted about CL many months ago they didn't have Craigs List up in Anchorage.

So I decided to check them out again today and Anchorage was included.

I purchased two torchier lamps today off CL for $10.00. They are the kind that bend so I can use them as lighting for my photos.

Most excellent.

Jack, How do we get Craigslist to add Panama City or the Florida Panhandle??? Closest link is Jacksonville (hear that Tomwii?) and it is almost 4 hours away!

Also, anyone remember that name of that great site that was doing the swapping and trade network? I lost it (and everything else I ever knew) when I system tanked in Dec.
