I was hoping to have a good weekend based on all of the "ask the seller" questions I had. Instead I had three bidders offer me a low ball prices on my items. First of all, I do not do the "offer" thing, second I do like being told that my competitors offered them a better price.

To avoid this in the future, should I put something in the description about the pricing is a firm deal. No discounts?

What do you think ?

Yea they are also going to your competitor telling them the same thing. Same thing they do at the Flea Markets. I like to ask them if they would be willing to give me part of their paycheck because that is what they are asking me, to give up part of my income. For the "I'll give ya " bunch I offer them a dollar for the car they are driving. That usually gets rid of them.

Must be the Ides of March or the Equinox or maybe the moon fell out of the seventh house...I don't know but I got a bunch of let's make a deal ASAQ's last night too! I told them thanks but no thanks, the postcard would be relisted in my store where it could sit 'til Hell froze over before I'd sell at THAT price...ok, those weren't my EXACT words but I did say the item would be relisted in my ebay store until it sold. Thanks for your interest etc etc

I had a guy recently offer me $35 for an item...after another guy offered me $75! Had a lot of fun telling guy #2 "No thanks...I'll keep auction running...AND I've already been offered $75 for the item". It eventually sold for $130 or so. That's one reason I don't end auctions early and accept those "good BIN offers"!

I agree witrh blueyes. Why end early if you have a solid bid? You never kneow what the end bid will be.

I wouldn't put that in the TOS, just delete the question when you get it or ignore it. I get questions all the time to end auctions early. I think some are legit, but there are those who do so to try to get a steal. I once listed a bunch of video games and started at the same price. Some were common, some were pretty rare. I got one question offering to give me the full starting bid price for 3 of the games, which would have been $6. (they sold for $60) - Of course these were the three that I knew would go for the most! - I was very tempted to tell them what I thought, but just gave my generic thanks for the interest, but I don't end auctions early email.
