Does anyone know how to create more than the 19 Custom Categories allowed by eBay Stores. I've searched eBay Stores threads and am unable to find any information. I've seen a number of stores with 30-40 searchable categories in their left navigation bar so I know it's doable.
Thanks in advance for your help

There are two ways. Either pay an arm and a leg to upgrade to an anchor Store or.....
Create your own search catagories in html in a custom left navigation box.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

There was a thread on this before.

I think some people use their own keywords in search descriptions to bring up related items.

For example, if you are selling shirts, you might have a specialized keyword to bring up those items, for example "mystoreshirts".

And on your store page, you would have a link to that search term.

Look for the thread "How I Doubled My Store Sales" I have done what you are talking about in my own store and in that thread I described how I set up the additional searches and tied them into each of my merchandise listings. If you have any html knowledge or editing software it's quite easy... time consuming but easy

I still haven't had time to do this but here is an old Vendio thread about it http://www.vendio.com/mesg/read.html?num=2&thread=592882

And the ebay store link (don't know why this isn't pinned to the top of the discussion board anymore http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?threadID=410346118

UGH! The custom HTML just seemed to be too involved! There is an easy add of a lower left navigation bar where you use keywords for search but it's limited to 10 links. I did that for the time being....maybe SOMEDAY I will get around to customizing (doubtful). Maybe I will just add a bunch of those easy ones

Sometimes when I read the posts on the store seller board (and see the FB numbers) I get the feeling that some of the folks there spend all their time fiddling with the LOOK of their store and never get around to actually SELLING anything!
