A neighbor lady who is over 80 has a thimble with the words on it "Nixon For Senate". I don't know when he ran for Senator, but it must have been in the 50's. Anyone have an idea of the value? I looked in eBay & there are 463 pages of Nixon items, all from 1953 & up. No help there.

I believe he ran for Senate against Helen Gahagan Douglas in the late 40s. The dirty tricks his campaign pulled were astoundingly bad and followed him the rest of his career: nickname, Tricky Dick.
If you google Helen Gahagan Douglas, you might get more info.
And, hey, thimbles are very collectible--so you have a cross-collectible under Collectibles/Vintage Sewing and also Collectibles/Political (or whatever they're calling it). I would do both.

You're very welcome, Sanmar. But sometimes my answers aren't the RIGHT answers, LOL.
