I have several Avon cologne decanters sitting in my garage collecting dust. They're not mine but my fiance's co-worker's wife. (Does that make any sense?)
Anyway, this friend of my fiances wants me to sell them or he will trash them and just not tell his wife (typical male). They have been in our garage for well over a year now and I don't know if they would be worth selling or just give them back and let him dispose of them.
These decanters are mostly cars and some are still full.
Anybody have any suggestions? Any links or other places to sell these besides Ebay? Ebay has pages of them and looks like only a few have one or two bids.

Looks like you answered your own question. If ebay has pages and pages of the same thing with very few bids, it is likely that these will not bring in much money, if at all.

Avon bottles took a dive a long time ago. But if you have some odd ones, you might pick up a bidder or two, if you describe it right.
If you just want to get rid of them, list them for a penny and make 3-4 on your s/h. Or... you can always make a donation to the thrift store and get a tax deduction!

I don't know how you ended up with someone else's fiancee's stuff, but I'd check with HER before listing anything. They may have belonged to her long dead grandfather and she may think they're in a storage shed somewhere.

I can't even sell my old Avon decanters at garage sales with a quarter "starting" price...On the other hand, things like this tend to go in cycles and who knows? In another 10 years or so, they might be "hot" again...but I wouldn't hold my breath!

You may be able to un-load them on an Avon collector's site, named www.Icollectavon.net
It is a huge site where Avon collectors meet to buy items for collections. Listing your decanters for sale on the site is really cheap and productive, the adds run for a long time.
The decanters have value not for the product inside the bottle, but for the decanter itself, so dump them out and wash them careful not to wash the labels off. Lots of men collect the automotive decanters too.
Thank you!!! That was one of the answers I was looking for. I wasn't sure any sites were available like that. That's why I asked. I figured someone would know a little more about these than I do.
