For the past couple of days (while my child was very sick), I have felt at the end of my rope with bidders.
For example, a get an e-mail from a bidder "did you receive my money order yet?" Not only did I receive the money order, I sent out a notice that I received it. Then sent another when I mailed it on March 29th. Get another one "I haven't received it yet, but I'll take a look around". Great! Yesterday, same bidder writes: "I haven't received a response from you." DUH! Not only did you receive a response from me, YOU WROTE ME BACK! (OK, I was much nicer.) Then I wrote to her and sent her a copy of the shipping receipt to show her it was shipped. Today I get ANOTHER e-mail from her "I found it. It fell behind a dresser." Grrrrrrrrrr ....
This morning I wake up to: "I'm sorry, I thought the item for bid was already made. I apologize, but I have no use for a pattern. Sorry! Would you please cancel my bid? Tahnk you!" Not only does it state in the title "crochet pattern patterns", but in the very first sentence of the description it states "you are bidding on two crochet patterns" and then further down it says "you are bidding on crochet patterns and not the finished product." OK, maybe she missed all of that so let's apply a bit of logic here. The COST alone in making those two intricately crocheted afghans would run at least $40.00 if not more. Then it would take at least one month EACH to crochet. So why in the world would ANYBODY sell these two afghans for a starting bid $2.99 with shipping of $1.25? Is it just me or is this just plain stupidity??!!!
There were even more e-mails saying "you haven't responded to my first e-mail." UMMMMMMM ... Yes, I did -- check your spam mailbox.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR .... I think I'll just go back to bed and wake up in a week.

It sounds like to me that the buyer may have your email address confused with another seller. It's been known to happen that a buyer will constantly email the wrong person...

sthoemke -- I would think that, too, but everytime she (and the others) have e-mailed me, it's through ebay's system!

Diane, I also sell craft books, mostly knitting, and even though I clearly state that it is a book or magazine, and put in large letters that the auction is for the patterns and not for the finished items, I get people all the time thinking they have won the 20 or more sweaters pictured for $3.99 or so! Some of them tell me what size they want the sweaters in! I honestly don't know what you can do about it, I have a negative feedback because of it saying that the item she received was "garbage", she was expecting sweaters. She paid $2 postage!
