You would think they learned their lesson after Michael Jackson-- ( SNICKER)

You have to give them some credit. This time they didn't include the one image you changed. That would have been really funny.
Now - are any of these pics under your control or did they wise up and actually steal the images and upload them somewhere they control?

As disturbing an individual Michael Jackson is, maybe a more disturbing picture is in order?

Did they buy the dress directly from YOU?
If so, I think it is fair if they use the images to resell it.

Yes, they did buy it from me. I don't think that gives them permission to use my photos and text though.
If that were the case, I would be in a roundabout way putting many others in direct competition with my listings. They never asked to use the photos. I spend time and money to take photos, edit them etc.
I cannot make a living setting someone up to be in direct competition.
If it were a one of a kind item and they wrote beforehand to ask, sure, no problem at all. But when I have 32 of that very item in inventory, it would not be a wise decision.

If someone emails me and asks me if they can use one of my photos AND I've already sold the item, I could care less. However, I see your point on this one. You are still selling the items. Maybe you can get her to give you a plug? Other than that, you may just have to contact eBay.

sthoemke - You're wrong, I don't think it is fair, especially since they are linking to her vendio account and she is PAYING for them to use her photos. If I sold something to someone and they wanted to resell it, if they emailed me, I would most likely give permission to use my photo, but NOT my server space to host the picture. The seller should have been asked, and it is especially tacky that they are using her vendio account! I think that is a problem with vendio that would preclude me from using their service, there needs to be some higher level of security!

Lolleypop...I would turn them in to Ebay right away. Be sure to give them the auction # of the first time you used the pictures and description so they can see you are the original owner.
Ebayvet...You are absolutely correct. Just purchasing an item does not give the buyer the right to use pictures and descriptions. She purchased the dress, nothing else. If she wants the "accessories" (pics & text) she needs to send Lolleypop another $1000.00

Reset the picture to advertise you. You can change pictures you are hosting thru Vendio with your Logo or even an ad for your store. The Vendio hosting of your pictures is one of the most powerful selling tools a seller has. Some one was using my web pisture hosting for his ads. I changed the pictures to advertise for me and they magically changed in all of his ads. You can even post your links on the pictures and he is breaking ebay linking rules and not you. I put a lot of time in my pictures and I caught one guy using them and he was running fraudulent listings which made it look like I was. All you have to do is right click on the pictures and the properties shows it as my Vendio hosting. So if you let other people Use your pictures you a running a liability risk.

Looking at this auction now and it appears that all the pics are being hosted by ebay. Too bad because it was very funny what you posted on the last auction.
