The 3 billionth was probably a neg from someone who didn't get his new laptop from the seller in Romania.

You get negative feedback on ebay from people who should have sent an email. From kids who are playing, who parents do not realize this is a real trading forum and they are liable for the purchases. I see people who buy from sellers who have terrible feed back and still they expect to get what they purchase. Most buyers do not bother to post feedback because they are happy and cannot even figure how to use eBay's System. I have been blackmailed by people threatening to give me negative feedback. (One guy even wanted a coat at half price or he would not remove his negative feedback. It is still posted against me. His complaint was that Pay pal would not process his credit card and he thought it was my fault.)Ebay's rules on feedback state that if you use the word "FEEDBACK" in your listing, that they will pull the listing. As a seller if you post feedback before a buyer does you leave yourself open to a critical feedback months later for any reason, even that the buyer lost the item. 3 billion happy customers on ebay would be a claim worth making, with all of the problems people run into on eBay. People should never buy, if the seller is not going to guarantee the product. Feedback should be posted within 30 days of the sale or be closed out. The non-paying bidders filings are. They should brag on ebay about the positive feedback ratio to the negative feedback ratio on a month by month basis to show customer satisfaction and the quality of the sales on ebay.

Oh no, I had no idea they would pull auctions with the word feedback. Each and every one of my auctions mentions that I am happy to leave feedback. I guess I should change that before someone reports me and shuts me down.

"Offering to sell feedback, buy feedback, or trade feedback undeservedly is strictly against eBay's feedback policies. Such activity is called feedback solicitation.

Including the term “feedback” or any reference to eBay feedback in the listing title is considered feedback solicitation and the item will be removed. The only exception is if the term “feedback” is directly describing the item listed.

If you have information regarding a possible feedback solicitation offense, please Contact Us, and include any information (auction number, user ID of seller, and so forth) that would help us review the situation.

Note: Posts made in eBay’s Want It Now area must also comply with this policy. Want It Now posts that violate this policy may be removed. Repeated violations may result in suspension. You can report a Want It Now violation of this policy from the Want It Now Policies page."

see http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-solicitation.html

I re-read the rule and it said title, but eBay reservces the right to re-interprit how they rule on questions.

I had 140 Listings removed for using the Pay Pal emblem that is supplied by PayPal an eBay company.

If you use feedback in your listing eBay can decide if it solicition or not and change their mind 6 months later. Why Gamble?

I just removed the feedback phrase from my little 'blurb' that shows up in all my auctions. Sheesh, you never know what might upset the eBay gurus next! Thank you for the information.

They pulled 40 of my ads for buying feed back because they said my prices were too low. I got the ads approved by ebay 6 months ago. They told me after pulling them they could change their ruling.

Someone at eBay's Official Auction Cancelling department must be asleep at the switch, then; there are currently 3,219,587 auctions with the word "feedback" in the description, including 682 with "feedback" in the title.

Exactly, they enforce their rules at their Discretion. They seem to to be a dictatorial organization, rather than a customer oriented organization. Please copy and paste and go to this ebay page...
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-solicitation.html
into your browser to see the eBay rule.

As I said Earlier I would like to know the per centage of Positive feedbacks to Negative. But that would not represent anything really, unless you also compared the number of transactions to feedbacks, non-paying bidders claims filed, the number of fraudulent sellers and fraudulent buyers, and claims filed with ebay and paypal on bogus transactions.

Really who cares if you use the word feedback, all any of us care about is that we can make money without worrying about being ripped off. That is why we started selling on ebay and why we opened Vendio stores.
