Are they the same thing? I'm currently running MSN's spy sweeper program and it's coming up with a list of cookies. Is that the same thing as spyware and can I mess up anything in Ebay or Vendio by deleting the cookies?

Spyware can appear in many forms. The most common are tracking cookies, but it can also take the form of programs and applications. By all means, delete all the cookies that the program displays, as these are mostly spyware. Even if you deleted all the cookies in your cookie folder, the only problem you would notice is on sites such as Vendio, Ebay, Yahoo etc. where they remember your user name. You would have to sign in again the next time you visited one of those sites.
