I used their Slow-Access DSL for 3 months before throwing it out the door & hooking-up with COMCAST.NET cable internet -- what a difference!

alltel's dsl was even worse...they came to install it and the tech guy admitted that he was new at this and couldn't do the job. he left and i had NO internet access. it took 8 days of argueing with alltel to get them to refund all the $ to me. they wanted to charge me for "terminating service" before the 1-year contract was up. WHAT service? i HAD service before they came to my house. when i threatened them with a trip to small claims court, they folded.
switched to comcast and it's been a dream come true. got the whole house on wireless (with firewalls, etc.) and can just lay around on the sofa with the laptop and work from there. http://stores.ebay.com/postcardspostcards
