Since we can't search for topic any more, don't know if anyone has discussed this in the recent past (and why can't we search anyway?)
With a free week this year I'm toying with the idea of going to shop and maybe even setting up. Any input? Anyone do either? Since it's only four days this year, should be a little less of a marathon.

I'm thinging about just shopping instead of setting up this year. We didn't do that well last year and with the gas prices climbing again,I don't see it doing much this year. I hate to battle the weather, usually rain and a lot of wind, which doesn't go well with your tents.

yeah, whatever did happen to the search function for the vendio threads? sure was a help to have it!
mah, is the yard sale good where you are? i went the first few years but the last couple of years, it was all flea market type stuff, with people talking about what they saw it sell for on ebay.

Vintage...The Vendio search function was eliminated a couple years ago. They removed the link, but failed to disable it. An eagle eyed VD'r (who should have been a detective instead of an antique dealer) found the link on an archived page and posted it here. Unfortunately, many newcomers kept requesting it and it kept being published in these threads. A mod apparently stumbled across one of those threads and had the link disabled. The reason they did away with it is because it was a resource hog and was causing problems elswhere in the system. Sometimes you can have good results using Google. I just typed in "vendio sparkz hurricane" and found two recent threads. Also type in "vendio jackswebb swap" or "vendio jackswebb morons". You might also want to try "Vendio neglus postcard*" and see what happens.

I am near central Kentucky, and where we set-up it is highly advertised. But you see too many high priced antiques, and we are covered up with the truck loads of crap from china. Last year they even came from New York City. They have tried to take over our local flea markets with all that China crap too. You get people at the 127 yardsale coming up to you asking will you take a dollar for this,or I'll give ya...and it has gotten worse every year. I think they have about killed it. I would say it won't be worth going this year. Here in Danville they use it for an excuse to go up on Motel rooms and jack the gas prices up.

burlington, in northern ky., is a cincinnati suburb. it's pretty tacky - congested, strip malls, etc. can't hold a candle to danville.
