Well it finally happened I've been shut out. Sales today were notta, zippo, zilch. My traffic and page views are above last month but no buyers. Any suggestions? Take up drinking?

eBay is horribly slow right now for both both page views and bids. Very few watchers also. I suggest limiting your listings to only items that you know there is a steady demand.

It's so depressing, isn't it - I check my items several times a day, and each time it's the same old thing - no increases, no more bids, at this point, I'm just listing things from lots where I've made my money and profit already - just to keep things moving and some money coming in. I guess I'll better prepare for next summer. The only things that seem to sell for any decent money are the ones which I am bidding on!

What I get frustrated with is that a number of my auctions have "watchers"...but no bids in the end. I wonder why people would bookmark an auction to see how it goes then not bid in the end?

Hello,
We hear this every summer. The fact is that every summer it gets a little worse and not quite as good in the late fall as last year.

This is the time of year to BUY (one bid, if out bid, Oh well!) and to work your stock with pictures and descriptions etc in your computer, (copy to disc). Do Not list your good stuff now, unless you wish to see it sold by someone else in November for a serious mark-up.

This game is very seasonal, so adjust.

As for now, one thing might help is state "E-mail for added and bigger pictures". It is easy to take a few extra and costs nothing if you don't upload to e-Bay......David

Watchers? I am so excited. I have an under $10.00 item with a BIN which is 10 cents more than the starting auction price. I have 2 watchers. That is what I call activity.

I'm selling more out of my E-Bay store than on auctions. At least I have a part-time job to help out.
