Someone emailed me this picture of a blue glass violin bottle. They want to list it on eBay & asked if I could give them any information. I can't, can someone help.

The only info I have is the picture. Judging from the electric outlet in the background the bottle looks to be about 12" tall.

It's blue. And it's made of glass. That's about all I can tell you about it. Hope that helps.

Try looking up cello. there should be a number on the bottom, maybe 7
viola or violin too

It's called a violin bottle. Many were made in the 60's. Originals from much earlier have a collector value. I'm afraid you wouldn't get much on eBay for it. They were made to hang in a sheet metal wall rack and plant ivy in. (the newer ones)

If you tell them Benjamin Franklin said it first, they'll believe you

sparkz You did it again your range of knowledge never ceases to amazes me.
Your right.
That bottle IS blue & it IS glass.

How come I didn't see that..........

Neil, I will pass your info on & also ask it there is a 7 on the bottom.

Max, that sounds good to me & I agree about the value. There are so many listed on eBay & none going for much.

I like this bottle because it's clear, think I'll bid on it if he lists it.

Thanks everyone for your help, I knew I would find some here.

Wheaton is the company that put out the reproduction bottles in the 60's and 70's.

You can say that again parklane.

For this "rare' bottle you could have had a choice of colors.
