I recently had a buyer send me a message through the "ask seller a question". I responded by clicking on the "reply" and sent my response. This happened twice and my buyer sent a 3rd message saying she'd never gotten a response to her messages. On her 3rd message, I replied but, this time, used the "respond" button on the message. She DID get that response and all is well now. Has anyone else had problems with people receiving responses using the "reply" function? Hope this makes sense...Thanks!

Your messages probably wound up in her spam folder, especially if she's an AOL member. It happens all the time, and it's infuriating.

It is very frustating...I am to the point now where I respond via the ebay link and then copy and paste my same response and send it via regular email...Just another waste of time.

It happens to me all the time. A couple of time recently I had to call buyers, and when I asked them to check their junk files, there were my messages. One thing I have found that helps sometimes is to remove the word "eBay" from the subject line.

I thought that when I reply through the Ebay link instead of directly e-mailing a response that it appears not only on the auction page but also in that person's e-mail. Am I wrong? Or are you just saying that the e-mail is where the problem lies (like with AOL etc.)?
