When would be a good time to start listing for the auction format? I have listed a few auctions during the summer to bring buyers over to my store but haven't wanted to list the really good stuff until the summer vacation is over.
I know that the kids back east and midwest head back to school in mid-August and beginning of September out here on the West Coast. So when will most of you be starting to do some serious listing.

Also, I have been appoached by someone to sell brand new golf clubs for them on Ebay. Any advice on that product?

Thank you,
Rosanne

I plan to wait until the second week of September to really cut loose on my auctions. I found that even with school starting a bit earlier, the Labor Day weekend really slows things down, then, that week everyone is getting in to their school year and summer's over mode. Doesn't really pick up until after that.

Things start to pick up in September (people back from vacations, holiday spending, colleges back in session.

I'd try to sell the golf clubs locally. Shipping costs will keep the price supressed.

I just had a great week!! I had to list twice as much but what didn't sell - I did an auto relist. I'm already getting bids on the relist too.
pandorasbox - that's cute. Maybe true too(but let's hope not). I don't think we will ever see the OLD DAYS again.

I plan on listing heavy when E-Bay starts throwing specials in September. That is their 10th Anniversary in September isn't it?By then I hope to have a lot of new merchandise.

Here in the midwest, school starts the day after Labor Day. You can figure it will take three weeks for parents to get comfortable enough to begin Christmas shopping online. Usually, the first of October give or take a day or two, will be the end of the summer slump.

I find the summer slump lasts longer every year. June 1st to Oct.1st for me. It is a great time to buy though.

My best months have always been November through mid-April. After April they slug along.
