tell when someone has paid insurance on a item?? If the winner uses vendio check out there isn't a problem. When they go directly to Paypal - it's never broken out, so I have to go back and try to figure it out. Is there something I'm missing???

Lady -- If you click on "payment details" in the auction, you will be able to see the invoice from Paypal and it will show you if insurance was purchased.

I agree -- I know you can go to details, but that's an extra step and a pain when you're in a shipping window. When you go directly to print label out of PP or eBay, the payment details should be RIGHT there. I used to think the "purchase insurance" would default to whatever the customer did, but it does not.

On my large items where insurance is appropriate, I make it very simple... I include insurance in the S&H. I just don't make insurance optional. It's it's included with the items that need it and not offered for those that do not.

No, I'm saying -- I'm merely -- I'm saying what I'm saying. I don't know why I'm always having people say, are you trying to say -- you know what you can do if you want to know what I'm saying is listen to what I'm saying. What I'm saying is what I said ...

Fenix - what if you don't know how much insurance will be?? I sometime get $100 for an item and sometime I may get $300. I don't sell fix price and don't have a store - every item I have is different?
Bizzy - I just found that detail link (thanks) and it really helps but it's still an extra step.
If they use Vendio - it's very easy but not with paypal.

Jewel, I set the isurance based on the opening bid amount. If the final bid is $50 higher I don't mind devoting $.50 of that to the bump in value.

I assume that you are the seller. I always send an invoice to the buyer & inculde in the S&H that insurance is included. That way I know they have paid for insurance.

I have many people simply lump the insurance payment in with the shipping amount. This is never a problem if you are keeping proper accounting records to figure out.
