I am getting upwords of 100 junk emails a day. 90% are for a new mortgage. The subject lines actually have my last name in them with misspellings elsewhere to get through filters... I have outlook express. Where do I start??

For years I would get about 200 spams a day. Recently I had to get a new ISP and I decided to alter my e-mail address slightly to add some numbers into it (advice from someone here at Vendio a long time ago). Now I don't get any junk at all. NONE.

You may want to try MailWasher.

I've been using SpamFighter for the last couple of weeks. It's cut down on it but hasn't eleminated it completely. I'm still blacklisting the ones that DO get through and sending them onto Blue Frog.
Oh - and I did read somewhere to put your email address in Google to see if it shows up somewhere on the Net - like in a forum or something.

I use Yahoo for my E-mail and love it,all the spam e-mails go to Bulk and I just delete them every now and then.

Sure enough, a quick GOOGLIZE pulled up 2 search results for my email address taken from a free ad I placed in a snowmobile "for sale" forum over 2 years ago
I got peppered with questions from people in other countries claiming to be interested in my sled a half a world away. Well after about a dozen of these with no response I started responding to them by closing my eyes and dancing my fingers accross the keypad....IE...iwojdwnoudn duohwduh wod pismnqwdiybef fiubwdnpwid wdbfiywbdiwd dpowd wbdwijndpd oiojw digw wdpiw duhw d.....

i use a combination of the above - yahoo for ordering stuff, personal communications, etc. they're pretty good about getting most of the spam sent to the bulk mail folder, actually.
for my business account, i use Mailwasher Pro - it runs through all my e'mail and i have a preview window where i can see it before even downloading anything potentially harmful or spam...one thing i love about it is, it has the ability to bounce the spam back to the sender, so that my e'mail address appears to be no good anymore. great program, about $30-40 and worth the $.

Hello
Just did a google.com search on my email address and found it eight times! GOOD GRIEF.
Canceled some old site input but some just cannot cancel?

We use "Spam Bully," it is free, and works wonderfully. Because of business I can't just use a blanket spam blocker as often important business information comes in and is viewed as spam by most programs.
Spam Bully, allows me to pick the mail origins to block, and that
You can find it at:
