Which method do you all use?

Click-n-ship, Paypal, endicia or stamps.com

I just acquire a HP printer/copier/scanner so I am ready to take the leap into the 21st century.

I use PayPal for all USPS orders. I buy Avery #5165 Full size Label sheets from Office Depot. There 100 sheets in a box, the adress & postage are on 1/2 of the sheet & the DC is on the other half. For FedEx, I use Microsoft Word & 4X2 inch labels. I print in Arel Bold with size 16 Font. I do the same for return addresses except I print a whole page at a time. Really makes a neat & professional looking package.

Someone has great weather in their California location? Really?

I'm in CA, too, and the weather has been really, really strange this year. I'm not complaining though. We need the rain.

Oh, by the way, I use Endicia and I LOVE IT!

So has anyone tried the USPS click n ship. Didn't someone state that Paypal wasn't charging for the labeling or has it been reduced.

I live in Santa Maria, a city of nearly 100,000. Our temp this time of the year is between 70 & 80 with no rain. Our average rainfall is about 14 inches which comes between Oct. & May. We do have some marine layer cloudiness in the early AM, but usually clear & cloudless after 10:00 AM. I have lived all over the USA & there is no place with climate we have here. Oh yes, the last measureable snowfall was 80 years ago. Seldom freezes. The high today was 75 & the low last night was 55.

PayPal DOES NOT charge for postage, if you ship by Priority Mail, the DC is free.

Sanmar,
What is the cost of living there? It is truly rediculous in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. HOmes are selling sky high and rents are incredibly high as well.
Weather is nice though as I live about an mile from the beach. We have our normal June gloom with overcast skies that lasted until the middle of July.
How far are you from Santa Barbara? Has normalcy returned to Santa Maria after the Jackson trial?

I use Click & Ship and have no plans on stopping any time soon. It is easy, straight forward and you don't have to put up with the BS that PayPal dishes out.

Stone, What is the BS with Paypal? Is Click n ship free to use but don't you pay for the shipping only? Isn't endicia charge a fee as well as Stamp.com?

I employ cutting edge, state of the art technology for printing my labels. I take the FedEx shipping papers, and use a ball point pen to fill in the info. Since a laser or inkjet won't work on their 4 page combo shipping manifest / lable document, and a dot matrix is too much of a hassle to use on their new lables, I use the tried and true method of personalized data entry.

Yes,
Click N ship only charges for actual postage. No monthly fees or per label fees like the others. And if there is any problems at all, USPS will help you out. If you use one of the others and there is a problem, USPS will tell you to go to the site that you printed the postage and deal directly with that company.

What is this BS about P/P?? I have used P/P for as long at's been around. Never any extra charges for postage. P/P takes the cost of postage out of my account & that's it.

I have done the same as jack for years
" I just print out whatever address they give on the Pay pal notice,,,,,,,Snip it, place it on the box, and rip a big piece of (Clear)shipping tape over the address,,, simple,,,,,I alter NOTHING"

The other option is copy and paste onto a label but that is to much work.

And like Jack if the buyer bitches about wrong address I say "You wrote it"

I also send part of the PP paper as a reciet and keep part as a record with date I shipped etc.

Note: USPS click and ship will only let you print priority and express. Not first class, not media, not parcel.

I have never had a problem with PayPal shipping labels -- especially since they removed the label processing fee. It also avoids transposing or mistyping information.

If you don't want to buy labels, just use a plain piece of paper, cut and tape.

Wow! I would have assumed that USPS would print all of their shipping options. So what then since I primarily sell books 95% of the time with a few odds-n-ends thrown in the mix, I am back to hand writing or copy & paste.
Or did someone state that Paypal prints it all.
TIA

PayPay prints it all. Even if customers don't use PayPal, the information is still there and printable. Charges right off your PP account. Great for keeping track of postage paid at the end of the year (in case it's more or less than what customers paid).

Very rarely do I not get the name and address as registered on eBay, regardless of payment method. This does not work for overseas shipping, however. Then, I simply copy and paste into a wordpad documents.

You have the option (depending on how you charge) of turning on or off the postage amount so that customer can/cannot see how much actual postage was (although they certainly can look it up on USPS's site if they want).

You can also get insurance for your package at the same time ($200 limit).
