I have one listing currently running on eBay with one photo that is hosted by Vendio. I'd like to add 3 more photos to the listing. I tried doing it from the eBay end, but it doesn't want to mix photos (i.e., photos hosted by Vendio and eBay).

Is there a way to add photos to a current listing from the Vendio side?

Thank you.

I only know how to replace photos in Vendio (i.e., replace the hosted image with another hosted image with the same name). I do not think that it is possible to add photos after the fact, at least if you have a bid already. If you don't have a bid, I guess you could edit your HTML to add another photo, but I personally wouldn't spend the time and energy; if the photos are essential, I think I'd be inclined to restart the auction.

Thanks Claude. I probably will just restart the auction (again!).

I think after you have a bid it only lets you add a picture in the description area......I think you uses this

No need to restart your listing. This is from Vendio's Help pages:

How do I attach an image to an existing listing?

To attach an image to an existing auction, follow these steps:
Login, and click the Image Hosting button.
Select the checkbox(s) of the image(s) you want to attach to your existing listing, and click the 'Attach' or 'Attach With Counter' button.
On the following page, select the auction site from the dropdown menu, and click the 'Existing Auction' radio button.
If eBay is your selected auction site, enter your auction number on the following page (you must have your eBay ID on file in the Auction Site Accounts section of My Account). If you have selected another auction site, copy and paste the HTML code into the listing description of the listing form.
Keep in mind that images attached using this method will appear under the listing template on the auction page (unless you are inserting the HTML into the item description, which can be done if there are no bids on the item).

You can add pics in Ebay using the HTML mentioned above - go to revise your item - even with the bid it will take you to the Seller's Form - but it will only let you add, not revise - you may have to scroll down to see the option to add to your listing.

I always edit my own photos through Ebay. Go to revise and click on the tab with your own HTML. (been a while since I did an auction but I'll do my best from memory.)

Then, scroll down to where you see your pic hosted with Vendio. It's in there somewhere. Then I just add my own html that matches what Ebay needs. You may need to have 2 screens open - 1 Ebay and 1 Vendio image hosting. Click on the Pic in VD then Right click on the Pic and when you have that and only that on the page, click properties and cut and paste that link. You might have to add the HTML <img> stuff around the link.

I wouldn't stop the auction and pay more fees!

glassgrl, I've been trying to do that. I just can't figure out the complete URL that eBay needs for my images hosted on Vendio. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Ooops ... never mind ... I think I found the help topic that covers this.

Thanks anyway!

To add your image directly to ebay, you do it in the item description area.

You must do it exactly like this.

<img src=http://your-image-url-goes-here.jpg>

The < must be next to the img

You cannot use " "

You url address must be the exact address of that photo.

You must end in jpg or gif depending upon the type of image.

You must have > at the end.

If you do that, you will have no problem.

You can use that link above if you like, just take out the "your image url goes here" and put your url address in it's place.
