Is anyone else having problems listing fixed shipping charges on eBay?
None of my new listings are showing them, and eBay keeps saying they are working on it, but that has been several days.
I notice everyone listed around me shows fixed shipping - am i doing something wrong?
I've been listing them the same way with vendio for several months.

Hello,
I almost always list fixed P/H on my lots but I do it (as most do) in the description

I noticed today some of my fixed shipping charges aren't in my listings. I just noticed I was getting alot of emails asking for shipping costs - and here I thought it was because they didn't bother to look at the whole page.

I've been trying to add the eBay shipping calculator for the past several days and haven't been able to, either. Again, they're saying it's a known problem and thanks for my patience. I generally add it by revising the auction after it's launched on items over 1 pound.

it's no longer possible to revise fixed shipping costs on eBay. vendio still has the place on the listing format, but it doesn't show up when sent to eBay.
you can't go into eBay now and revise it. there is no place for fixed shipping.
eBay's live help gave me a "workaround" for revising shipping that didn't work.

I always post the S&H in the description with no problems. If only the bidders would take 10 seconds to read the daxx thing.

For once I agree with sanmar.
Put the shipping charges as part of the description.

Five days now for me.. unable to revise or add shipping calculator. I've talked with live help.. emailed support.. and posted on eBays "Answers Center" and Technical Issure dissussion board.
Seems the whole feature just dissappeared? Any support here for the folks at Vendio? .. Let me know if it starts working for any of you.. who has been experiencing the same problem. Deb

I received an e-mail from eBay yesterday telling me they had fixed the problem.
You're right, the whole feature for fixed shipping charges has disappeared.
It also looks like eBay made some changes regarding return policy, which is edited in the same area as shipping costs. I hope they don't think that was that fixed the shipping charges problem as well.

I received the following e-mail from eBay:
"Hello,
Thank you for writing to us. I appreciate the opportunity to assist you
with your questions.
I think the problem that you are having can be fixed if you update your
shipping preferences on My eBay.
1. Click on the "My eBay" link located at the top of any eBay page.
2. Scroll through the links on the left side under "My Account" and
click on "ebay preferences."
3. Across from "Shipping and Discounts" click on "Show."
4. Click on "edit" when it appears.
You will want to go through this page and select the options that you
want to use. It will then update the next time you open a listing to
change it or when you list a new item, you will see the options you
want."
I did try these instructions, but am still unable to just put in a fixed shipping amount.
If anyone tries this fix and it works, could you let me know what I'm doing wrong?

HI G...
I tried what eBay told you to do.. but didn't work for me either.
I edited and changed some of my prefrences.. and noticed before I submitted it said "changes may take up to 10 hours to post" or somethng like that.
Maybe this will only work on "new" auctions we launch? I am trying to revise old auctions thats been without a calculator for over a week? If you have something your listing today.. let me know if it works when you launch a "new" item. Maybe thats the ticket? Who knows.. I know this is effecting sales .. also... you should post over on the ebay thread I started days ago... here is the URL ..

Hi Everyone, A girl named Deb(above) and I figured out a work around on this problem till Ebay gets it fixed. It is not just those of us who use Vendio but all third pary listers who are having a problem.Ebay says it is a glitch and they are trying to correct it. Our solution will work on any auction that does not have a bid yet which means any new ones you load before they get it fixed. Do this and it works.
1) click on the revision for a auction.
2) scroll down to edit pictures and details. Click on that and once in, add a buy it now price(do NOT remove your start price or reserve if you use it). Don't worry, it won't stay. scroll down and save changes.this will take you back to the main revision page
3) next scroll down to edit payment and shipping and click on that. When the page comes up, there is a block for require immediate payment required right below PayPal. Mark this. When you do the page will change and you will have the shipping calculator/fixed shipping option that has been missing the last week. Fill in your info and then save the changes at the bottom of the page.
4) You should be back to the main revision page now and this step is important. Scroll down and reenter the edit pictures and details section. Remove(delete) the Buy it now that you entered earlier and then save that change.
5) when you are back to the main revision page, scroll down and you will see that you have the shipping the way you want it and no charges incurred (important!) click on submit.
That is all there is to it. You can't skip a step or it won't work. If you were to leave the BIN in the ad it would only apply till someone places a bid and then disappear but it cost extra to add it. You have to add it in the process to get the require immediate payment to show which is needed to get the shipping calculator. The catch here is that while you can remove the BIN, you can't remove the immediate payment required because that makes the shipping choices disappear. The immediate payment only applies on a BIN and disappears anyway when a bid is placed. I did 10 auctions a little while ago, so I know this works! Lynn (Oldscrazy)
